Although Rebecca Parrott from 90 Day Fiancé season 8 can't seem to begin a sentence without talking about her “ex from Morocco,” her love story with Zied is probably one of the most popular ones on the show. Introduced during 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days season 3, Rebecca has been fighting against friends and family to marry her Tunisian lover Zied, who's recently asked her to marry him before Ramadan. While trust issues are looming and Zied has been pushy during the season, the couple might just get a happy ending. Fans want to know why Rebecca, 50, fell for Zied, who is 22 years younger.

Fans have been noticing how tired Rebecca looks in season 8. After Zied finally arrived in America, things should have been great, but Rebecca heard him say he was homesick. Later on, a pretty young girl with a truck seemed to be trying to woo him. Thanks to these incidents and constant prodding by her family, Rebecca couldn’t help but doubt Zied’s intentions. The fact that he had too much in common with her Moroccan third ex-husband who was younger than Zied, was another red flag. Recent episodes appeared to show Zied losing interest in Rebecca, even as she fretted over her lost engagement ring. Then, the talk about marrying before Ramadan began. As TLC viewers wondered if Rebecca would go ahead with her COVID-19 wedding, they were curious about why she believed that Zied was the one for her.

Back in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, restaurant manager Rebecca (who was then a private investigator) had introduced herself as a mother to three grown children. Rebecca, who’d confessed to getting an adrenaline rush from putting tracker devices on cars, had said that relationships never worked for her. She explained that she “falls hard and falls quick and then it doesn’t work out.” The Georgia resident was happy being alone after separating from her third ex, but single life didn’t last long, thanks to Zied and his “so muchhh” love. The 90 Day Fiancé star had seen HVAC training program grad Zied on her Facebook “People You May Know” suggestions in April of 2018.

Rebecca thought Zied was gorgeous and she sent him a friend request. She believed that he lived in Lafayette, Louisiana. The couple started flirting instantly and continued even after realizing that Zied was from Lafayette (Tunis), Tunisia, instead. Even when Rebecca had revealed she was 47, Zied had messaged her saying, "I love women who are like you a lot. I do not care about the age difference.” The 90 Day Fiancé star flaunted her emoji-filled messages to the cameras while sharing that Zied is “the most romantic, sweet person in the world.” The former motorcycle mechanic gushed that Zied being sweet and romantic got her to fall in love. “I couldn’t help it,” mentioned Rebecca, even though they hadn’t even met.

Their first meeting in Tunisia lasted for three weeks in 2018. Rebecca visited Zied in Tunis during 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. She spent thousands of dollars on tickets and the visa process. The question of Zied using Rebecca to get entry into America and possibly boost his acting career (after being a struggling actor back home) was raised. Fans also wondered if she dated and married younger men to feel better about herself. Rebecca had, after all, catfished Zied with Facetuned social media photos. She also hid the fact that she was still married, which made fans wonder why she was doubting his intentions in the first place. However, Rebecca thinks “this one is forever,” so hopefully, the fourth time is the charm for the 90 Day Fiancé star.
