Reddit fans found an old petition that highlights 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Angela Deem's abusive actions and asks for her cancelation. Angela has been making headlines for her weight loss, and also her condescending and unapologetic behavior towards 90 Day Fiancé's Michael Ilesanmi. The criticism towards Angela has been heightened during season 6 of the spin-off, and fans are getting increasingly tired of the meemaw and want her removed from TLC. Coupled with her smoking addiction and flirting with her doctors, fans finding out about her daughter Scottie Deem’s child molestation crime has added to Angela’s problems.
After Angela tried to hack into Michael’s phone after fearing he might be cheating on her again, and showering him with a slew of swear words, the 90 Day Fiancé star belittled Michael in many ways. Since relentlessly berating and attacking Michael for not supporting her after her weight loss surgery, the aggressive Angela supposedly blocked him on Facebook and WhatsApp. After Michael blew up her daughter Skyla’s phone in episode 11 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela told him her father would have hand slapped him right in the mouth. But Michael laughing at Angela’s words also earned him brownie points from 90 Day Fiancé viewers.
Meanwhile, a Reddit user came across a Change.org petition from two years ago asking for Angela to be banned from TLC. The screengrab used by the petitioner shows Angela in a past episode telling Michael that she’s “gonna hit you right in the mouth” herself. This shows that Angela’s threats to Michael aren’t new, and even the old petition has managed to get 3,535 people to sign out of 5,000 so far. In their description, the person who started the petition explained, “Dangling citizenship over the head of her much younger fiancé and forcing him to cater to her whims and follow her rules--for example, prohibiting him from working due to her jealousy--she continuously abuses him before the public eye.”
The 90 Day Fiancé viewer further accused TLC of “promoting and giving a platform for financial, emotional and physical partner abuse by continuing to give Angela airtime.” They are requesting the network to take Angela off-air “immediately” and acknowledge the “harm and damage” she’s caused to Michael in the process. The person also added that a donation towards a domestic violence organization or immigrant rights group is something they would look forward to them doing as well.
With alert Reddit fans finding the petition again and the number of signatures increasing, fans seem to be hopeful about TLC taking some necessary steps. The criticism, however, has not rattled 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Angela in any way, as she’s responded to her “haters” by claiming she’s not going anywhere. Another controversial franchise cast member, Big Ed Brown, also met a similar fate when fans started resharing a petition to have him canceled and have also managed to get over 42,821 signatures from the 50,000 it’s asking. According to Change.org, at 50,000 it becomes one of the top signed on Change.org. But according to rumors, 90 Day Fiancé's Big Ed is supposed to make a comeback to the franchise via season 2 of The Single Life.
