90 Day Fiancé star Paul Staehle is claiming that he did not abduct his son Pierre amid news that Pierre had gone missing. Paul made his debut on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days season 1, when he traveled to Brazil to meet his girlfriend Karine Martins. The couple became engaged and returned for 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days season 2. The couple went on to have a son Pierre and returned to the franchise once again when Paul moved to Brazil during 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1.

Paul eventually decided that he was unable to continue living in Brazil due to finances, which led to Paul moving back to the United States with Karine and Pierre in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5. Paul and Karine settled down in Kentucky and later had another son named Ethan. However, things began to quickly fall apart for Paul and Karine after their time on the show. The couple's relationship seemed to hit roadblock after roadblock, which led to them ultimately splitting in 2019. They agreed to share custody of their two sons, including Pierre, who was officially reported missing along with Paul in Kentucky on June 8.

As reported by TMZ, Paul has recently made a statement regarding claims that he and Pierre were missing. Paul was well aware of the missing person reports filed for both he and Pierre; however, he stated that they were simply just on a long work trip. Paul claimed that he and Pierre had been traveling back and forth between Pennsylvania and Florida for about a month, while Paul searched throughout both states for work. He says he had to take Pierre with him as he suffers from separation anxiety when Paul is not around.

As for Paul and Karine's other son Ethan, he was allegedly taken into custody by officials while he was discovered staying with Paul's mother. Paul stated that he is currently on his way back to Kentucky, to deal with the issue and hopefully resolve the matter. Paul also added that he is hoping to regain custody of both Pierre and Ethan, whether that will be through the courts with his parents or on his own.

This is not the first time that Paul has gotten into a rocky situation with the law. While he was on 90 Day Fiancé, viewers discovered that Paul had been found guilty of arson, and had served brief time in prison as punishment for it. As a result of these charges, Paul had even been considered a terrorist by the Brazilian government at a point. There have also been multiple allegations of abuse between Paul and Karine in the past. While Paul without a doubt has a shaky past, viewers hope he will ultimately pull it together for the sake of his sons.
