Both Paul Staehle and Karine Martins of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? have dropped their protective orders against one another. While it's a positive sign of reconciliation, this does not mean the battle is over for the couple.

Paul and Karine are just not meant to be together, but they do keep trying. The last fans saw of their story the mother of one decided to secretly talk to an immigration lawyer to understand her rights in America. She was desperate to get back to Brazil and be with her family. After many arguments about their location, Paul made the decision to take the whole family back to her homeland temporarily, but he worried she would want to stay forever. While they ended their season on the same page, things fell apart in recent months.

The couple has already made it clear they are going through hard times. Both have been MIA from the reunion tell-all with no explanation. Over the past few weeks, both Paul and Karine gave fans some information about their relationship status on their Instagrams, claiming they each had a protective order against each other. They accused each other of assault and abuse, and Paul told fans he could no longer see his son and may not see his wife ever again. But according to US Weekly, both Karine and Paul dropped their restraining orders against one another, making fans wonder if the reality stars are headed towards another make-up.

On September 16, the parents dismissed three emergency protective orders. Due to the dismissal, the TLC stars do not have to appear in court this coming December. The court documents stated that the charges were dismissed at the request of the petitioners. Paul previously claimed that his wife and son were missing after a fight. The star later took to his social media to claim that his wife filed a restraining order saying, “I’m not allowed to be around her or my son, within 500 feet of them at all.” TLC fans don’t always believe what Paul has to say and feel Karine could be in a bad position. Karine also made a police report against her husband saying he would not let her leave and held onto her important documents. She said, “I am terrified he will hurt me or hurt my son because I runned away from him and I am even afraid to go back to Brazil now because he can go to Brazil and hurt us.” Not to be outdone, Paul than counterclaimed he once found glass in his food. After reading all the court documents, the judge ordered the couple to stay away from one another.

The couple has always had issues and many fans feel Karine should have never married Paul. The couple also confirmed recently that they are expecting a second child. Since the battle began, Paul made the bright decision to take a break from social media since he would get himself into more trouble by ranting angrily at Karine.
