While replying to a 90 Day Fiancé fan, Paola Mayfield revealed that Russ Mayfield was laid off from two jobs, and she was the one who rescued him at the time. It isn't the first time Paola has taken a dig at her husband publicly. A few days ago, she posted a video on Instagram to mock his financial status. In the video, Paola mentioned that haters think that she is a gold digger. But she called out her critics, saying that Russ didn't have any money to begin with. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans didn't like that Paola made fun of her husband on social media.
But, that hasn't deterred her from sharing personal details about her family. While Russ tries to keep his relationship status a secret, Paola doesn't like to pretend that things are fine. In August, Paola's manager revealed that the couple is taking a break from each other. The manager affirmed that Paola and Russ are on a break and not thinking about divorce yet. She informed 90 Day Fiancé viewers that the duo is trying to resolve their marital problems during therapy. However, it doesn't seem counseling is working for Paola and Russ.
The Colombian native recently recorded a video to reply to a critic, who said, "He could have made BANK in the oil field in Oklahoma but y'all moved to Florida and then a van lol." While replying to the critic, Paola made some shocking revelations about her husband's career and jobs. She claimed that Russ was laid off from two jobs. Former TLC star Paola clapped back at her critic and said that Russ first lost his job in Oklahoma, and then he couldn't find a job for a year. Paola claimed that she rescued him and their family because she has a great career and does "all the crazy stuff." She told the critic to get their facts straight before making an assumption. While Paola seemed very proud of her achievements, many fans found this video offensive. A fan said, "She needs to humble herself because miss pow-la would not be here doing the 'crazy stuff she does' without him." Another fan commented, "Russ would have done the same for her if she lost her 'job'...he also made sacrifices, it's not a competition."
After seeing this video, it doesn't seem like Paola and Russ would reconcile. It is understandable that Paola wanted to share facts with her critic. However, the way she did it sounded quite disrespectful. If she wanted to clear up the confusion, she could have just revealed that she took care of her family when Russ was out of work. But she chose to criticize her husband's capabilities on social media. Still, 90 Day Fiancé alum Paola can't be blamed because she apparently just stated facts to hit back at her hater.
