Former 90 Day Fiancé star Paola Mayfield is showing off her American passport to respond to the critics who asked her to go back to Colombia. Last month, the reality TV star shocked many fans by fueling divorce rumors with her husband, Russ Mayfield. The couple has been together for over a decade and married for seven years. They also have a 2-year-old son, Axel Mayfield. Until last month, the couple was going strong, at least according to their social media pictures. Paola posted an adorable picture with Russ and told 90 Day Fiancé viewers that they are stronger than ever.
On International Kissing Day, Paola made headlines for posting an intimate video of her smooching Russ. Even though Paola received a few critical comments on her video, she looked very much in love with her husband. However, the couple has now decided to take a break from each other. Paola's manager recently revealed that this 90 Day Fiancé couple isn't thinking of getting divorced yet, and they are still together. But they are on a break and going to marriage counseling to resolve their marital issues.
Meanwhile, Paola seems upset to have received major backlash from 90 Day Fiancé fans who think she took advantage of Russ to get into the United States and receive a Green Card. Some critics also asked the former TLC star to go back to her home country, Colombia. However, Paola gave a fitting response to her critics by revealing proof of her American citizenship. She posted a stunning picture and also showed off her American passport. Russ' wife captioned the Instagram post, "When people tell me to move back to my country (typical)...The United States is my country now."
Back in April, Paola became an American citizen. At the time, she posted her citizenship certificate on Instagram and revealed how grateful she was to be a part of the country. Many 90 Day Fiancé stars and fans loved Paola's response to her critics. A fan said, "Congratulations! We are better with you here." Another fan chimed in, "Welcome to the dual citizenship team."
