Angela Deem and Michael Ilseanmi's relationship evolved into marriage on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? this season. The tell-all episode revealed that they are experiencing some setbacks due to COVID-19.

Angela and Michael have had a rollercoaster ride on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? This season, Angela traveled from her hometown of Hazelhurst, Georgia to Nigeria to visit Michael. She had conflicts with Michael's mother about traditional customs, and it seemed like their 90 Day Fiancé wedding might never happen. Angela's own mother then died shortly after the wedding, which she'd been too ill to attend. Angela was devastated. She and Michael also had issues when checking Angela's fertility. Starting a family is important to both of them, and it was revealed that Angela could not have any more children without a donor egg. Angela Deem has two daughters Skyla and Scottie who both have their own children. Her daughters and grandchildren were also unable to travel to Nigeria for her wedding.

On part one of the "Tell-All" reunion, Angela and Michael spoke about the recent challenges in their relationship. The entire episode was conducted through Zoom in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Host Shaun Robinson asked each couple some questions via the video chat. Angela and Michael were one of the only couples who appeared on the show from separate homes. Angela is back in Georgia, while Michael remains in his hometown of Lagos, Nigeria. Angela spoke about how difficult it is to be away from Michael, especially when mourning her mother. "It's really hard, like sometimes, you know, you just need your husband," she said on the show, "COVID screwed that up. I can't just fly over there." The pandemic has also lengthened the time it takes to get a spousal visa request approved. Angela and Michael confirmed that they had filed Michael's paperwork for the visa, but that it will take longer than the usual six to eight months to be approved. "After the pandemic, we still have to wait probably a year for him to get the spousal visa," Angela revealed.

Can the couple keep their relationship solid through long distance for that long? Angela Deem seems confident that the two can make it through. Michael said that they have been able to resolve fights quicker by talking on the phone, but that they do still fight. The couple has dealt with distance before, as they were separate for most of their relationship, but a marriage is a new step. As Angela said, "sometimes you just need your husband."

Will Michael be able to be there for her over Zoom? With so much unknown about the pandemic, we have little idea when it will end. It could potentially be years before Michael is able to legally reside in the United States. Angela acknowledged this, but concluded, "[if] we make it through all of this, and we're still together, then [haters] can shut up."

Hopefully, coronavirus doesn't affect Angela and Michael's marriage as it has done for so many others. We'll all be rooting for the two 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? stars to make it.
