Former 90 Day Fiancé franchise couple Avery Mills and Omar Albakour shocked fans last week when they announced they were already living in the United States, and they are now calling New Jersey their new home. The announcement came just two weeks after the couple revealed Omar finally had his U.S. visa approved. Though fans were surprised that the couple left Dubai after praising the United Arab Emirates (UAE) city, many followers supported the couple’s decision to return to Avery’s native country. The couple has since opened up about the reasons behind the quick move.
Avery and Omar first showcased their international love story on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. Syrian Omar was sadly unable to join his Ohio-based wife in the U.S. after they tied the knot. After spending their first year of married life apart, Avery moved to the UAE to start a new life with her husband. The couple has praised life in Dubai and cited the UAE as a wonderful place to live that is even safer than the U.S. However, Avery revealed that the couple made the move to the U.S. in order to be close to family and support Omar’s career in dentistry. Meanwhile, Avery is studying healthcare administration and hopes to find work as well.
The couple has exited the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, though they often keep followers updated about their personal lives on their shared YouTube and Instagram accounts. Avery shared a photo of the gorgeous couple to their Instagram account on March 31 with the geolocation set as New Jersey. The young American took to the comments section to answer fan questions about their new living location. She confirmed that the couple is in New Jersey. "I'll make a vlog of him [Omar] trying things in the USA he's never tried (:," she wrote back to one commenter. Avery has previously shared content of Omar trying American food in Dubai.
New Jersey appeared to be an easy decision for the couple due to Omar's family. Avery has opened up about Omar’s siblings in past YouTube content. She shared that after meeting her Syrian partner on a Muslim marriage app, she actually met his siblings in New Jersey before flying to Syria to marry Omar. Not only did Avery receive the blessings of Omar’s beloved siblings, but she enjoyed their company so much that she extended her trip. Omar’s ability to be reunited with his siblings is extremely important to the couple. Avery shared in their recent YouTube video that Omar has not been able to see his siblings for many years. Therefore, it is a momentous occasion for him to be able to join them in New Jersey.
Meanwhile, Avery also has her family in the United States. The American hails from Columbus, Ohio. She left behind her family, friends, and cat when she joined Omar in Dubai. While Avery enjoyed living in the UAE, both she and Omar appear thrilled to be reunited with loved ones in the U.S. Though they are working on their professional careers at the moment, Avery said that they wouldn’t rule out moving back to the UAE in the future.
