Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé brought viewers to Steven Frend and Olga Koshimbetova, who unfortunately announced their split in the fall. Now, it appears as though the young parents aren’t on friendly terms. Olga was left seemingly upset by Steven’s recent Instagram Q&A that addressed his relationship status.
Olga and Steven were the youngest couple featured on season 6 of the hit TLC series. Both halves of the former couple were 20 when Russian beauty Olga vacationed in Ocean City, Md., where Steven worked. Steven immediately fell for the foreign beauty, but the young couple received a surprise when they discovered Olga was pregnant. After returning home, Olga eventually was able to join Steven in Maryland on her K-1 fiancé visa so that they could raise their child together. In April 2018, Olga gave birth to Richie, the couple’s only child together. Despite the young couple initially appearing to make things work, Steven announced that they had split last October.
The drama began between the parents this week when Steven took to his Instagram Story to answer some questions. When someone asked Steven if he was still with Olga as a couple, he responded “co-parents :).” Olga reposted his Story with the word “here.” Prior to her repost, she posted a brief video of herself with the caption, “I’m the dumbest person in the world or maybe the most naive person.” The Russian mother appeared incredulous and said “just unbelievable.” After reposting Steven’s answer, Olga then posted a message about her ex. “Fun fact when we were together he was against about the idea to say about our status,” she wrote. “But when we had not a good moment (can’t say fight because it wasn’t) he is the first person who tells everyone.” Though she didn't open up further about the situation, it appears as though Olga is not happy with the father of her child.
Among the other questions answered, Steven also told someone who asked if he was single that he was dating himself. To make their relationship status absolutely clear, Olga also answered a fan Q&A about her status with Steven. She responded to someone asking if she was still with Steven, “Falso. No we are just co-parents.” While the couple appears to not be on the best personal terms, they do both appear to be devoted parents to young son Richie. Both Olga and Steven share sweet photos of themselves with their little boy. After Steven lost his father at a young age, he vowed on 90 Day Fiancé to be there for his son, who he refers to on Instagram as his “savior” and “best friend.”
Steven also opened up about being a parent during his Q&A. “My son was the most beautiful gift, he helped me see a light in me I barely saw,” he wrote. While Olga and Steven’s love story has come to a close, there are still other international couples working to make their relationships work. New episodes of 90 Day Fiancé season 8 air Sunday nights on TLC.
