90 Day Fiancé star Natalie Mordovtseva has shared the real story behind how she really became an actress back in Ukraine. There have been many instances where fans have thought that Natalie and Mike Youngquist’s storyline on 90 Day Fiancé and 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? was scripted and fake. Most of these suspicions gained momentum when internet sleuths discovered Natalie has been an actor and model but never spoke about it on the TLC show. This also convinced fans that Natalie was playing a part on TV or perhaps using Mike to launch her own Hollywood career.

Natalie and Mike’s marriage news came as a shock to several viewers. The couple was incompatible at best, and Mike also canceled their wedding at the last minute and humiliated Natalie, who still never went back to Ukraine. There were moments within Mike and Natalie’s storyline like her mid-calf boots turning into UGGs all within one scene, or the incident about the big blue truck when she was to do her nose surgery in Seattle. These instances of “fraud” frustrated fans who concluded that Natalie was involved in the staging of the scenes due to her acting background.

But even if Natalie was acting through her 90 Day Fiancé relationship, there’s no denying that she was convincingly good at it. These days Natalie has been on a throwback spree, where she’s been sharing clips of her own Ukrainian TV performances on Instagram. In the latest one, Natalie, who has journalism and psychology degrees, revealed that she’d been “afraid of the camera” all her life and participated in acting courses with her girlfriend “just for fun.” Natalie’s friend had a crush on one of their teachers, and she herself was free during evenings, so they thought the course was apt. At the end of it, Natalie got her “first role on TV” and her “girlfriend got married and had a child. 👯‍♀️🤣”

Natalie did have some experience from acting in plays at school but she always thought she wasn’t talented enough for TV. But Natalie wanted to connect her life in “some way with television” so she studied journalism and worked as a writer and editor for a channel and eventually got bored of it. In acting school, Natalie discovered that she was “a character lead actress” and that the camera loved her for “giving right emotions and being playful - different.” According to Natalie, people think that acting comes naturally to her, but she still was afraid of the camera and relied on hard work to overcome it.

Meanwhile, fans are wondering why Natalie has been making her Instagram grid into a portfolio of sorts, and if she’s hoping to get “discovered” on IG. Previously, Natalie has attempted to start a cooking show on YouTube, and she has also been consistently updating her page with images from professional photoshoots. It’s easy to see that Natalie is chasing her dreams, something that she’d confirmed during her many arguments with Trish Youngquist. Critics who usually mock her for the way she ended her marriage with Mike are also impressed by Natalie’s talents. Perhaps Natalie’s next move won’t be another 90 Day Fiancé spin-off but a TV or movie role that would explode her popularity.
