Fans guessed Natalia Mordovtseva and Mike Youngquist's story wouldn't end well after the 90 Day Fiancé season eight trailer, and there were plenty of signs Mike didn't want to marry Natalie. Fans who watched the show since its November premiere saw Natalie call Mike a monster on-camera. In fact, the first episode showed Natalie packing her bags to leave for France on the day of her wedding. Before that disastrous moment, Mike hid Natalie's ring from her and declared, “I was angry at the way she was acting, I thought it was unacceptable.” But that was just the first sign the 90 Day Fiancé star was not ready to marry Natalie.

As Natalie waited for her visa to get approved, 90 Day Fiancé star Mike spoke about working on things with her in the months following the Tell-All. In the shocking season seven reunion episode, Natalie accused Mike of cheating on her with his friend who was about to get married. But in his confessional on episode one, Mike spoke about taking “a big step back” and being “really, really cautious” around Natalie, which should have been a big clue for his commitment issues to come. However, when Natalie revealed she was finally getting her K-1 visa, Mike said he was “happy and excited,” which was followed by “I wasn’t prepared to hear this right now.”

While Natalie had a deadline to come to America within 20 days, Mike still wasn't ready to marry her three months later. Even back when she first arrived, Mike predicted they had a “lot of stuff to work on,” including communication, anger, jealously, and “everything,” which were the reasons for all their fights to follow. Sure, Natalie played her part in making Michael’s final decision more difficult, but if he had his doubts, him going ahead with her coming to America and staying with him was a bad move. The hesitation 90 Day Fiancé celeb Mike had in giving her ring back, which he eventually did with a few days left for their wedding, went away when he shamelessly asked for it back after dumping Natalie.

It looked like Natalie was the only one interested in pushing for a happily ever after throughout season eight, which was a reason why she suggested couples therapy. Mike originally backed out of attending the session, and when he did, he spilled his true colors as he confessed he didn’t have feelings for Natalie. Natalie did not fit in Mike’s “ideal world,” as he pointed out, and he also bluntly told her they were “not engaged.” Why Mike eventually agreed to marry Natalie is still a mystery, with fans guessing it was out of his vengeance. But Mike first developing “cold feet” on the wedding day and then asking Natalie if she could still stick around “illegally” after her visa expired was another selfish move.

However, it seems the 90 Day Fiancé season 8 finale may see Mike and Natalie get married.  But does this marriage last, given it was built on shaky territory? Of course not, as per Uncle Beau. With Mike and Natalie marrying in March 2020, the Ukrainian blonde is already out of his trailer and staying in Seattle. Fans have also recently spotted Natalie in Florida, suggesting the 90 Day Fiancé star could have moved again. Where does that leave Mike? Well, Mike’s not moping around, considering he never wanted the marriage, and is currently looking forward to “beautiful days ahead” as a single man.
