When Mike Youngquist called off his wedding to Natalie Mordovtseva two hours before their 90 Day Fiancé ceremony, season 8 viewers did not believe what was going on, but Mike is now opening up on what really happened. He and Natalie’s relationship on the TLC show had been nothing but a series of ups and downs, and this was when everyone thought their toxic pairing had come to an end. However, Mike and Natalie did get married on his Sequim farm, amidst all of the drama. But what had really prompted Mike to call it off in the first place? Was it a premonition or just “cold feet” as he’d told Natalie? Mike spilled the truth during the Tell-All.

With a lockdown in place following the pandemic being at its peak, Natalie had nowhere to go after Mike pulled the plug on her wedding day. The former actress hysterically sobbed with fans now declaring themselves #TeamNatalie and echoing her sentiments in calling Mike a “monster.” But as Natalie prepared to fly to France, a mishap at a Seattle hotel over Mike’s credit card (which fans think was totally scripted) made her drive right back to his trailer and into his arms. Mike spoke of how he wanted Natalie to stick around illegally with an expired visa, but the righteous bride did convince Mike to marry her eventually. But should have Mike thought twice?

People do cancel weddings all the time,” Mike had told Natalie upon her return while revealing he was “scared and nervous” and had “a lot of stuff running” through him. To the cameras, Mike had confessed, “It’s not like, there’s really anything that’s just gonna magically change my mind, and it’s gonna be ‘poof.’ No, there’s nothing … I don’t know.” Still, Mike did magically change his mind the next day as he uttered his “I dos” to Natalie leading to a more troubled married life. Meanwhile, during the 90 Day Fiancé season 8 Tell-All, Mike revealed what went on his mind right before he’d abruptly broken up with Natalie. As per a clip of the reunion episode posted by ET, Mike spilled, “The actual night before the wedding, I got into my own head.”

Explaining how he had a sudden change of heart, Mike revealed that he’d gone down “to the river” and stayed there for about five to six hours. “I was just, uh, I got scared. I was overthinking things,” he said. “I was just feeling lost. I was just not ready to get married that day,” Mike added but also mentioned that he wasn’t trying to justify himself in any way since he felt “like a piece of s**t” and “horrible” about what followed.

Reliving the moment was obviously painful for Natalie who felt like she was “so little there” and like “nobody could help her.” The 90 Day Fiancé star consoled herself by adding, “I feel like I want to hug this girl and say everything's going to be alright.” But is everything really “alright” for Mike and Natalie? The couple will soon return to season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? to possibly prove that the spoilers given by Uncle Beau might be true.
