Mike Berk was infamously dumped by Ximena Morales Cuellar on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, but the American man appears to have finally bounced back from heartbreak. 90 Day Fiancé fans watched as Mike dealt with heated emotions when Ximena made it clear she did not want to be with him. While Ximena quickly and easily moved on with many men, Mike was much slower to find love. However, things are finally looking up for the New Yorker as Mike announced on Instagram to 90 Day Fiancé fans that he is no longer single before providing new details about his new love interest.
Mike and Ximena had a chaotic and compelling romance that saw romantically challenged and perpetually single Mike traveling to Colombia to propose to the mother of two. However, it was clear from the start that Ximena did not return Mike’s burning affections. Mike infamously tried to buy Ximena’s love by paying her rent and giving her expensive things. He also expressed a real desire to be a father to her two sons. However, Ximena admitted to simply not being attracted to Mike due to his gross behavior and lack of hygiene. This led to her dumping him even though Mike furiously tried to get her to change her mind. After many months of being single, Mike announced on Instagram this week that he was in Miami and seeing someone new.
Mike has always been one for dramatics, as witnessed by him refusing to accept Ximena breaking up with him on Before the 90 Days. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans were therefore not surprised that his Instagram announcement post was rather mysterious and cryptic, as he shared photos of drinks and captioned it, “enjoying a nice dinner with my queen!!” Mike’s post also contained the line “thank you, Amor.” Mike was previously known for always using the line “te amo” on his Spanish-speaking partner Ximena. Once the transactional aspect of his relationship with Ximena was revealed, as well as the fact that they had met when Ximena was his cam girl, many viewers questioned if Mike was allowing himself to be used. This caused many fans to be skeptical of Mike's new relationship.
Commenters immediately began asking Mike about his girlfriend situation as they tried to see if he was once again seeking love with someone from a camming website. However, Mike confirmed that he met his new lady a different way this time. He also did not appear to appreciate people bringing up his past as he has made it clear that he has learned significantly from his mistakes. One commenter cautioned Mike to take things slow, to which he replied “absolutely.” Mike also had gushing things to say about his new lady, who he described as “quite amazing and incredible.” Mike said that his girlfriend had the majority of her family in New England, which made it seem as though she is an American. 90 Day Fiancé's Mike added that she is petite with dark brown hair and hazel eyes and no cosmetic surgery. He further revealed that his new girlfriend also has children, like Ximena does.
Mike said that he wouldn’t be revealing the woman’s face until perhaps the next year. This is likely a wise choice given the backlash he has received. Although Mike started as a fan-favorite 90 Day Fiancé newcomer, he ended up becoming a recent franchise villain as Before the 90 Days progressed. This led to few viewers feeling sorry for Mike when Ximena ended up dumping him. However, Ximena also wasn’t a sympathetic cast member as many viewers had many grievances to air with her. While Ximena hasn’t cared to fix her fan reputation, Mike continues to receive scrutiny far after 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days ended due to him trying to make viewers like him in a way that feels inauthentic.
