Angela Deem from 90 Day Fiancé was smitten by her plastic surgeon Dr. Michael K. Obeng the moment she met him, and so were most of the fans watching her weight loss journey. The first thing on Angela’s mind when she first saw Dr. Obeng was “are you married?” but she settled for telling him that he smelled good instead. “You’re too handsome to be my doctor,” the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star complimented Dr. Obeng and proceeded to flirt with him. Meanwhile, Angela was also seen spending time and partying with Dr. Obeng, fueling rumors of a love triangle with Michael.

When 90 Day Fiancé icon Angela wasn’t gushing over Dr. Obeng being a “big, tall, built doctor from Ghana” he was wondering whether he was a gift to her from the universe. Giggling then like a teenage girl, Angela also tried to make Michael jealous by telling him about the “boob doctor” and adding, “I thought he was you for a minute.” And since her 100-pound weight loss, Angela has also been spotted partying twice with her other Michael in Los Angeles.

In his interview with GQ South Africa, 90 Day Fiancé fame Dr. Obeng had revealed that his love for medicine goes back to age 9 when he used to accompany his grandmother to the doctor, and wanted to become one himself. When he was 14 or 15, Dr. Obeng saw his neighbor recover on getting reconstructive surgery following an acid attack, and knew his expertise had to be plastic surgery. At 20, Dr. Obeng, who’s now 48, moved to the US, to get his undergrad degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and later obtained a degree in B.S. in chemistry and an M.D. degree from the University of Texas Medical School.

In his fourth year at medical college, Dr. Obeng obtained a research award from the National Institute of Health (NIH) which helped him earn a fellowship at the Harvard Medical School. The 90 Day Fiancé cast member’s first job was being the youngest Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, where he also reattached an arm, making it one of the first successful arm reattachment surgeries in North East Ohio. Six years later, Dr. Obeng made his way to Beverly Hills and started a non-profit organization called R.E.S.T.O.R.E. which is an acronym for Restoring Emotional Stability Through Outstanding Reconstructive Efforts.

Before his famous encounters with patients Tessica Brown and Angela Deem happened, in 2016, Dr. Obeng removed a German socialite’s rib to give her a Barbie-like appearance and in 2018, he performed a forehead reduction. “I don’t care about social media “likes” - I never really care about social media at all,” says Dr. Obeng, who owns MiKO Plastic Surgery for the last 14 years. Dr. Obeng is a father to six children and currently is supposedly single. However, before 90 Day Fiancé, Dr. Obeng was made famous when in 2015, he and his then third wife Veronica participated in the E! reality television series Second Wives Club.

But, Dr. Obeng sued E! as the reality TV show was filmed and Veronika filed for divorce in 2016. According to Inquisitr, Dr. Obeng's lawsuit, the Second Wives Club featured fake situations and forced participants to get into fake disputes. Meanwhile, while Angela is currently recovering from her weight loss surgeries on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Dr. Obeng’s appearances aren’t over just yet. Rumors suggest that Dr. Obeng’s birthday party that 90 Day Fiancé star Angela attended in March might end up giving her husband Michael a whole lot of stress.
