90 Day Fiancé couple Michael Ilesanmi and Angela Deem are not together any longer if the Nigerian man’s Instagram update is to be believed. After many loud break-ups and equally surprising make-ups, Michael and Angela married in January 2020 as documented on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5. However, after Angela flew back to the U.S. to attend to her dying mother, the pandemic ensured Angela and Michael stayed separated for two years. Angela’s controversial weight loss surgery also created a huge rift between her and Michael, in addition to her supposed liaison with her surgeon Dr. Obeng.
Once Angela lost almost 100 pounds and gained confidence, she decided she wanted to enjoy her new figure and also not worry about having children. This caused severe drama between her and Aunt Lydia during the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 Tell-All, and Angela ended up flashing her new breast implants to the camera. When Michael refused to take Angela’s side and accused her of having a fling with Dr. Obeng, she told him “I’m done.” However, Angela and Michael were very much together after the Tell-All, based on her social media updates. Then, in December 2021, Angela suggested she was single in a TikTok video where a voiceover asked, “Are you single?” and she lip-synced to the “Yeah...Uh-huh” from “Candy Shop” by 50 Cent.
In his latest Instagram post, Michael has seemingly hinted at something similar. His caption makes viewers think Michael is single again. Michael reactivating his old Instagram account and separating from the @deemangela one he and Angela shared is also a major clue about a possible breakup.
“Is this a way to tell us you are single?” someone asked Michael in the post comments. “Are you saying you are single mykul?” questioned a different follower. Others expressed interest in wanting to know what really happened between Michael and Angela since she’s supposedly also blocked his Instagram page. This seems to be a result of the tussle that’s taking place between Angela and Usman Umar after he posted about Michael on his page.
However, Michael’s photo where he’s hinted at his single status is from before he and Usman met. Michael breaking free of Angela’s Instagram could really mean they are no longer together. Still, there are rumors about Michael making it to the States soon on his spousal visa, as Angela was waiting for an update according to her conversation with a viewer during her birthday celebrations in Las Vegas. It's also worth noting Angela was reportedly filming a spin-off in New York in December 2021. While it could be another Happily Ever After? season, Michael’s caption suggests it may be 90 Day Fiancé’s Single Life instead.
