90 Day Fiancé star Michael Ilesanmi has opened up about his U.S. visa update on Instagram as Angela Deem keeps fueling rumors of their split. With their 22-year age gap and many cultural differences, Angela and Michael always made an odd couple, to begin with. Despite it, Angela and Michael got married in January 2020, but have been staying in different countries owing to the pandemic. Even though most fans think Michael and Angela are better off single, many of the Nigerian man’s supporters are waiting for him to come to America. Recently, there were reports of Michal’s spousal visa finally being approved, and here’s what he has to say about the good news.

All has not been well between Angela and Michael as per several clues on Instagram. Firstly, Michael has made a separate account for himself on IG and recently posted about being “single” in a caption. Angela, meanwhile, has been posting several videos with a mystery man although she’s supposedly doing it for kidney awareness. But it was Nigerian singer Usman Umar who claimed that Angela and Michael were done and accused her of using her innocent husband. Meanwhile, word on the street was that Michael’s CR-1 visa was finally approved and he would be making his way to the States in March.

However, Michael has now declared the visa rumors baseless and completely untrue. The Lagos resident seems to have gone LIVE on Instagram to talk to his followers on March 3 according to a screen recording by @90shotzfired. The video starts off with Michael saying, “Angie is in the States.” He then adds that his visa is “yet to be approved.” According to Michael, he’s still in stage 1 of his visa process. “Doesn’t be easy,” he added. As fans kept asking him more questions during the LIVE, Michael repeated himself, “Please I’m yet get approved of my visa.

Michael declared that he’s “not coming to the States this month.” He requested his fans to disregard any articles or posts or blogs which claim anything about Michael’s U.S. arrival. “That’s not true,” Michael confirmed. He mentioned how people have been sending him congratulatory messages. Michael seems to be annoyed with it since the news is supposedly false. A fan in the post comments noted, “It could also be he can't say cuz of the nda so he just says no.” A different TLC viewer wondered if Michael even wants to come to the U.S. anymore. “Imagine how she might mistreat him?” the fan asked before adding that it’s better if Michael continued staying in Nigeria itself.

There have been 90 Day Fiancé couples who have faked being together in the past. This is why there were theories about Michael and Angela having split but pretending to be a couple to get a new 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. Fans being confused about Michael and Angela’s relationship status does suggest questions about their marriage could be answered on a new season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? But Angela has been filming all by herself quite possibly as a single woman. Michael still waiting on his visa is a sign that things between him and Angela aren’t as bitter.
