90 Day Fiancé star Michael Ilesanmi wished his wife Angela Deem a happy birthday with a heart-wrenching message on Instagram. The polarizing Angie and Michael, who married in Nigeria in January 2020, went through a rough patch on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6. Michael didn’t approve of Angela getting weight loss surgery or her closeness with her doctors who did it. Several scary fights ensued and the Tell-All felt like it was the end of Michael and Angela’s relationship.
This was taken as a positive sign by 90 Day Fiancé viewers who felt terrorized by Angela’s harsh words and loud accusations and didn’t want her back on TV. After Angela flashed to the cameras, she also said “I’m done” to Michael as she claimed that their marriage wasn’t valid. Since Michael doesn’t have his own Instagram thanks to Angela, fans yearned to know what he was up to. Thankfully, Angela recently went live with Michael on TikTok to confirm they’re still together. Lagos resident Michael also posted a Thanksgiving update where he supported his wife during the Debbie Johnson-Jojo drama and mentioned Angela was getting threats.
However, these videos also confirmed that Michael is not in the United States. Georgia resident Angela turned 56 on December 9 and celebrated it by sharing fun dancing videos with her grandkids on Instagram. Amidst these updates, 90 Day Fiancé viewers came across one from Michael which he shared on the same @deemangela IG page. The slideshow has the text “Happy Birthday my love” on it and features Michael and Angela dancing with screenshots of them video chatting. Through his location tag, Michael confirmed that he’s still in “Lagos, Nigeria.” And in his caption, Michael wrote, “I’m sorry I can’t be there with you to celebrate.”
In his loving birthday greeting to his darling wife, Michael added that he’s counting down “the minutes” until he can finally meet Angela after two years. “Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 Love!💖🧡” Michael posted in conclusion. While Michael’s mother never seemed to approve of Angela on 90 Day Fiancé because she can’t have babies and start a family with Michael, the Nigerian woman also surprised fans. “So thankful for my MOTHER IN-LAW WHO ALWAYS HAS MY BACK.. LOVE YOU SO MUCH,” Angela wrote in a different post as she shared a screengrab of her video call with Michael’s mother.
Meanwhile, some fans are refusing to believe that it was Michael who posted the sweet birthday message for Angela. They suspect Angela herself created it and shared an “unflattering pic” of his mother to show things are well between her and Michael. Interestingly, many have also been questioning how 90 Day Fiancé stars Biniyam Shibre and Victor McLean got their visas before Michael did. There are possibly several reasons why Michael’s spousal visa has not been approved yet, which may include Angela not meeting income requirements, or her past DUI convictions including delays due to the pandemic. However, the suspicions about Michael and Angela’s relationship continue to rise with more and more fans questioning if they’re really still a couple.
