Popular 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem, who’s all about her weight loss, has given up on toting a baby, but Reddit fans feel that Michael pressuring her into having one is scripted. Since their wedding in January 2020, not only have Angela and Michael lived separately, but they’ve also had a communication gap larger than their age difference. As a result, it's making their married life “hell.” Angela and Michael clashing over her weight loss surgery was the theme of their 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever? Now, Michael’s baby talk has gone too far in season 6, despite him knowing Angela can’t get pregnant.
Immediately after marrying her Nigerian lover, 90 Day Fiancé star Angela began her weight loss journey. Angela did it to look younger for Michael, but also for her health, and now admits to having more energy. The grandmother to six grandkids feared that she would have a heart attack due to her excessive weight. But Angela has received zero support from Michael on her weight loss journey. The breast reduction, which was a necessity in Angela’s makeover, was objected to by Michael. He also feels that the $25,000 that Angela wants to spend on her facelift should be spent on a baby.
On episode 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Michael declared that Angela wanting to make herself attractive and deciding not to have kids would make him divorce her. However, after watching Angela and Michael’s story, fans know very well that she is not capable of having a baby. At 55, Angela has reached menopause and doesn’t have any eggs left in her ovaries. But through Michael’s many confessions, it appears that he either doesn’t understand Angela’s medical dilemma or is clearly faking it. A Reddit user had an interesting theory that says that Michael, in reality, doesn’t want kids and married Angela “with complete knowledge that she cannot and will not have another child.”
The 90 Day Fiancé viewer thinks that the doctor visits they did on the show are to tell his Nigerian family they’ve tried everything in the book and eventually “avoid pressure or guilt.” A top comment on the thread says Angela and Michael have “a fake storyline” they’ve come up with to create drama for the show’s sake. “Of course Michael realizes Angela is not giving him a child,” expresses the fan. Some fans also believe that Michael is using the idea of having a baby “as a scapegoat” until he comes to America and gets his green card. After that, Michael can just get up and leave to make babies with a different woman.
Interestingly, Michael’s issue about Angela spending on her full body makeover instead of saving to spend it on a baby has also been brought into question. “She has spent zero. All that work has been done gratis by the medical experts on her management team,” wrote a 90 Day Fiancé viewer about Angela actually shelling out any money for the surgeries.
