Angela Deem's husband and the former 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? star Michael Ilesanmi recently explained why he doesn't support his wife's weight loss surgery. He has seen some tragic cases in Nigeria, and that's why he is concerned about Angela's health and safety. The couple tied the knot on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? season 5 and during the Tell-All episodes, Angela revealed that she wants to get rid of the extra fat by undergoing weight loss surgery. At the time, she felt like she would die if she didn't have the surgery.

She was having trouble breathing and having difficulty doing the easy tasks. America's favorite meemaw was also struggling to keep up with her grandkids. She was overweight, which could have affected her other body organs. Moreover, she wanted to look younger and sexier for her 33-year-old husband. In August 2020, she had five surgeries, including liposuction, gastric sleeve reduction, and a breast reduction. Fortunately, there were no complications, and Angela recovered from her elective surgery quickly She is now showing off her younger-looking avatar on social media.

However, the preview of the upcoming season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? reveals the reason why Michael was against Angela's surgery. The 55-year-old TLC star said (via Us Weekly), "I thought that marrying Michael would make my worries go away, but actually, they've gotten worse." She is worried about the 22-year age difference and said that her skin is going to change and she will start looking older than she is. She added, "And Michael is still going to be as young as he looked the day I married him. So if I'm not young, I need to at least look the damn part and it starts with my weight."

Michael reassured his wife that he loves her the way she is and he likes big things. Angela said that she would still have big boobs and also get a big butt. But, the Nigerian native isn't convinced. In a confessional, he shared his fear: "People have lost their life getting this kind of surgery here in Nigeria. I feel she want to risk it all." He believes that Angela wants a quick result, so she would have to undergo "bigger surgeries." Michael isn't wrong. Every surgery comes with a few risks. Since Angela was supposed to get five surgeries, it also increased the probability of unforeseen complications.

Thankfully, she didn't face any difficulties while having all five surgeries in one day. She has lost about 100 pounds and is feeling more confident than ever. However, this topic did put a strain on her relationship. 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? season 6 will feature all the explosive arguments Angela and Michael had before the surgery. Angela mentioned that her fights with Michael are going to be quite dramatic, so viewers likely won't want to miss it.
