90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days fans have been curious about what Memphis Sandoval from Michigan does for a living as her official job. As a 34-year-old mom of two, Memphis happened to meet Hamza Moknii online eight months before her 90 Day Fiancé debut on an international dating app. When Hamza first messaged Memphis, she was instantly attracted. Hamza was unemployed after doing an HVAC course and the plan is for Memphis to pay for his visa and financially support him after they marry and he comes to the US and begins his job-hunting process. During Before The 90 Days episode 1, Memphis had declared that, with her salary, she could afford to take care of Hamza for a little bit.

Alas, things have not been going smoothly between Hamza and Memphis during her Tunisia trip. The couple recently fought over Memphis sleeping at her ex-husband’s place for four days after she started dating Hamza. The often jealous Hamza almost called off the wedding until Memphis came clean about what had really happened between her and her ex-husband, who is the father of her second child. The Muskegon resident revealed that she had not passed her state board exams for the first time and was very depressed to the point of her not being able to get out of bed, eat, or even take care of her children. Memphis’ ex-husband stepped up and took care of her by feeding her and making sure the kids were clothed while she lay in bed for four days.

If I didn’t go to my ex-husband for support, my decisions at that point in time would have been very detrimental to my life,” admitted Memphis, who has since then worked hard to become a successful nurse practitioner. “After my divorce, I learned how to be a more self-sufficient woman so that I could support my children,” Memphis told the 90 Day Fiancé producers. She then put herself through school for eight years to get a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a master’s degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practice, as per Reality Titbit. Memphis has been in the mental health industry for ten years, and before that, was a CAN phlebotomist since 2005.

She has worked as a nurse practitioner since 2012. Life hasn’t always been easy for Memphis who went through an unstable childhood while growing up. Her mom was battling with substance abuse and her biological dad was in prison when Memphis was 9. “We did not always have a roof over our heads,” confessed Memphis who was taken away when she was 11 and has since stayed in 12 different foster homes until turned 19. In July 2020, Memphis went to use Instagram to announce the completion of her master’s studies, declaring: “In times of trials and tribulations remember you are in control of how you rise above! Always remember no one can take away your worth! Straighten your crown, queens and kings,” in the post Memphis shared with her followers again in January.

Memphis’ journey is inspirational and a reminder that even if life isn’t easy, there’s a lot to look forward to. Parenting is challenging, and being a single parent makes it even more difficult, despite which Memphis has achieved so much success in her journey. Apart from saving lives in her full-time job, Memphis has now also become a prominent face in reality TV after starring on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. As she continues dealing with the highs and lows in her relationship with Hamza, here's to wishing Memphis sees success in her personal life as well.
