Franchise fans of 90 Day Fiancé have watched many international relationships crumble, and 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days newcomers Memphis and Hamza unfortunately already appear to be on shaky grounds. Viewers are excited to dive into the upcoming season of 90 Day Fiancé franchise content, as it will feature seven brand new couples with fresh stories. Judging by the early season trailer, Memphis and Hamza might be one of the Before The 90 Days duos who deal with the most cultural differences and subsequent relationship drama.

Fans first fell in love with the 90 Day Fiancé franchise because it gave a candid and realistic look at the K-1 visa process for international couples. The visa is granted to a foreign partner who wants to join their American fiancé in the US and marry within 90 days. Before The 90 Days follows the couples before they make the major marriage decision. The beloved spin-off show often shows the couple meeting for the first time, where they discover if they can overcome cultural differences and language barriers to make their relationships work in the real world. Memphis and Hamza are one new couple who might be broken up by cultural issues.

Memphis and Hamza were profiled with the other new Before The 90 Days couples on Entertainment Weekly, while they are also featured on the official @90dayfiancé YouTube channel in the early season trailer. Memphis is a 34-year-old from Muskegon, Michigan, and Hamza is a 28-year-old from Kairouan, Tunisia. Memphis, a divorced single mother of two, is one of three cast members to come from Michigan this season. The couple met online eight months ago. After an unstable childhood and a negative dating history, Memphis is seeking a reliable partner she can count on. Hamza proposed to her after just several months of texting and video calls. However, the couple will have to overcome a massive language barrier and skepticism from Memphis’ loved ones. Though Memphis wants to get married on her trip to Tunisia, there might be insurmountable relationship obstacles awaiting her.

90 Day Fiancé star Hamza Moknii

The new trailer for Before The 90 Days shows Memphis trying on lingerie with her friends while she reveals in a voice-over, “I kind of have a wild side and now I’m flying to Tunisia to marry someone I’ve never met in person.” The mom also wasn’t afraid to show off with Hamza as she revealed herself in the shower to him over FaceTime. However, it won’t be all fun and games for the couple. Hamza and Memphis appear to rely heavily on translation apps for communication, which could certainly put a strain on their relationship. Meanwhile, one major cultural difference could prevent them from marrying. “We don’t have prenups in Tunisia,” Hamza tells Memphis before later telling the cameras, “I feel insulted.” However, the prenup is a clear deal-breaker for Memphis. “If you do not sign, I do not want to marry you,” Memphis flat-out told him back.

Like plenty of incompatible 90 Day Fiancé franchise couples before them, Memphis and Hamza might not be able to overcome their cultural differences. Both halves of the couple appeared clear about their needs in the trailer, with Memphis drawing the line at the prenup. Another issue that could end the couple’s relationship before the wedding bells ring is their language barrier. Though some franchise couples communicate via language translation apps, it does impact relationships as meaning is lost in translation. Fans can discover if Memphis and Hamza decide to head down the aisle when 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days airs in December.
