The mythical Mahogany Roca of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days gave in to the fans’ demands and finally posted an Instagram video verifying that she is very much the real woman Ben Rathbun is dating. Peru woman Mahogany has made fans so curious about her that there are several theories online about why she’s not ready to meet Ben on 90 Day Fiancé yet. Some fans think Mahogany is not even her real name. And then there are photos of Mahogany in which she looks drastically different from the Mahogany who’s chatting with Ben for three months. But while Ben continues to dodge the “is she real?” question, Mahogany has decided to answer it herself.
Sure, Mahogany never had a single video call with Ben for the entire 115 days that they’ve been romantically chatting. But Mahogany did promise to love Ben like he’s never been loved before and give the father of four more kids. Not just that, Mahogany also took a real loan of $1000 from Ben. And also wanted Ben to meet her parents who suspiciously went out of town when the Michigan man decided to fly to Peru on her birthday. But the second time around, Mahogany asked Ben to not come to Peru as her father doubted his intentions. She ghosted him when he really reached Peru and turns out, Mahogany has also given Ben a wrong address.
But Mahogany is pretty active on social media and was perhaps just busy retouching her photos which made her miss Ben’s calls from the airport. In fact, Mahogany also shocked 90 Day Fiancé fans by posting a video on her Instagram stories on Friday, answering the question many were asking: is Mahogany real on 90 Day Fiancé? This video was definitely longer than the two-second clip of her saying, “It’s Mahogany. Right here, it’s Mahogany. Before sharing the “evidence” Mahogany posted two new selfies (via @steventheskoodilypoop) for her admirers to see. Then came the video of Mahogany in the driver’s seat of her car captioned, “tenia que decir” that roughly translates to, “I had to say.” In her video, a Mahogany declared, “so I know a lot of people say that I’m fake,” and with a mischievous smile added, “but I’m not.”
As per Ben, Mahogany’s English skills aren’t that good. But Mahogany does speak it impeccably in the Instagram story. Plus she does look the same as her newer IG and FB photos even though the use of a face filter is evident. Besides, Mahogany recently claimed that her photos without filters that fans had discovered are from when she is “15 of 17.” But this version of Mahogany is still very different looking from the photo that TLC had released in October when they announced the cast for 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5.
There are a lot of discrepancies between what Ben is saying on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days and what she has revealed via her social media pages. For starters, Ben claims she’s 24, but Mahogany insists she’s 22 years old. With every bit of proof that Mahogany posts to say that she’s real, the mystery of the entire situation just keeps on getting more and more twisted. But Ben believes that God's plan will lead him to Mahogany one way for another. How exactly Ben will do that with the wrong address is something that fans want TLC to quickly spill.
