The enigmatic 90 Day Fiancé star Mahogany Roca appears to have suffered a photoshop fail in her newest Instagram selfie, adding to suspicions she's a catfish. The 24-year-old Mahogany has yet to meet her American boyfriend Ben Rathbun in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5. Mahogany and Ben connected over their love for the Lord after she discovered his modeling pictures on social media. Ben too, seems to have fallen for Mahogany’s photos with their many filters. While Ben is still searching from Mahogany in Peru on the show, viewers found her Instagram profile on which she posted a video to prove she’s real.
Ben spoke to Mahogany for three months via DM during which they discussed starting a family together. Before leaving, Ben announced to his family that Mahogany was going to be his second wife as per God’s plan. Ben wants Mahogany to come to America amidst his teenage kids maintaining her photos are fake. Ben defended his Peruvian girlfriend by suggesting, “maybe she has a really good camera.” However, Mahogany’s social media features tagged photos of her in which she looks completely different. She claims it's because these pictures are from when she was a teenager. Perhaps Mahogany started learning photoshop later in life which is why her newer photos are so altered.
However, Mahogany hasn't fully grasped photo editing yet as per her latest Instagram upload. Mahogany's story (reposted by John Yates) shows her sprawled on a bed in a slip dress. There’s obviously a filter on Mahogany’s face in the photo. However, there’s also something noticeably wrong about Mahogany’s arms and legs. Something like the Liquify Tool appears to have been used to make Mahogany’s limbs appear slim.
The results are not as desired in the photo, as Mahogany doesn’t have any fingers left and her thighs are two different widths. In the comments, one user mentioned, “the hand and wrist are crazy strange!” Another TLC viewer wrote, “the pictures have obviously been Photoshopped and to bad she forgot to fix the huge arms that does not match her skinny face. Ha ha ha.” A different commentator thought that “her arm looks like an alligators front limb.”
Viewers used to think that the Mahogany on social media is real and someone else was using her photos to catfish Ben on 90 Day Fiancé. However, there’s something off about Mahogany’s posts and all her photos, which look like they were taken on the same day in a hotel room. Thankfully, it won’t be long until viewers get the answers to their questions on the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days finale or perhaps in the Tell-All episode. In any case, TLC did release an official photo of Mahogany during its season 5 cast announcement, which suggests viewers will get to meet Mahogany eventually, sans the photoshop or filters.
