Although 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers haven’t met her yet, Mahogany Roca from Peru has piqued everyone’s interest, with many wondering about her Instagram page. So far, Mahogany’s highly filtered photos and refusal to take video calls have aroused suspicion that she’s catfishing Ben Rathbun like Williams and Yolanda on 90 Day Fiancé. The former pastor has a history of short-lived relationships and also being scammed by Nigerian men, so Mahogany taking $1000 on loan suggests Ben is experiencing more of the same.
Ben and Mahogany's story began when they became Facebook friends after several people added him seeing his fitness modeling pictures. After deciding to message Mahogany, Ben was floored by how mature and religious the woman was, and they DM’d back and forth for over 100 days. Ben told the cameras that Mahogany’s English is not perfect, but their communication is great. He plans to get Mahogany to America and wants to prove to his kids, ex-wife, and friends that their love is real.
When Ben showed Mahogany’s photo to his 14-year-old daughter Joy, she immediately yelled, “that is so fake.” While that remains to be seen, Mahogany does have a presence on Instagram, going by passion70roll. She calls herself the “Daughter of God” in her bio. Mahogany is proud of her Latin roots and also mentions that she’s studying international law and human rights. Elsewhere in her bio, Mahogany confirms she’s on 90 Day Fiancé by adding, “Before 90 day Fiancé it came out now.” As of this writing, Mahogany has a total of 33 posts, most of which are selfies that seem to have been taken with a filter on.
Her first ever post was of a sunset without any caption from February 2015. Mahogany shared similar nature pictures until February 2016 when she posted her first selfie. Many of her other photos show off notable landmarks and cities around the world. A picture of a Starbucks Frappuccino cup is location-tagged with “Miraflores, Lima” which suggests Mahogany is well-traveled.
After a few selfies in 2016, Mahogany took a break from Instagram and resurfaced on August 17, 2020 with a photo of herself and her mom. A recent comment on that post observes, “She looks 12.” A photo from October in which Mahogany celebrated her mom’s birthday follows. Her next selfie appears in February 2021 and is captioned, “Unos buenos dias bonitos para ti!” Interestingly, Mahogany looks slightly different in each photo she’s posted after that, perhaps due to filters.
In one of her Instagram story highlights, Mahogany states that she can speak Spanish, English, and a little bit of Chinese and Korean. Her favorite romantic movie is Pride and Prejudice, and she appears to have been studying at The Universidad Científica del Sur in Peru. Viewers have also noticed that the photos Mahogany has posted since December 2021 all seem to have been taken inside a hotel room. Mahogany doesn’t interact much with her followers, but in her latest caption she asks 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers, “So am I a scammer? Of course nou!” Perhaps most importantly, Mahogany doesn’t follow Ben, and Ben doesn’t follow her back from either of his Instagram pages. Chances are Mahogany and Ben aren’t together anymore and were never dating as she says she’s single in one of her photos.
