Along with several popular shows, TLC has revealed that 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise will return with season 3 this spring. The 90 Day Fiancé spin-off became an immediate hit for the network, as the show’s colorful locations and cast proved to be compelling with viewers. Love in Paradise season 2 was particularly entertaining, with several memorable couples, one of which, Daniele Gates and Yohan Geronimo, returned to the franchise on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4.

Available To Stream On Discovery Plus

There’s been much anticipation about when the tropical spin-off would return, as there were multiple storylines in Love in Paradise season 2 that left viewers hanging. But TLC has finally announced that the show will be returning, perhaps sooner than fans expected. According to Variety, Love in Paradise season 3 will debut on Monday, April 17. The news outlet did not specify whether the new season will air on Discovery+ or TLC, but given that the past two seasons have debuted first on Discovery+, it’s a good guess that that’s where fans can expect to find season 3.

The Cast Of Love In Paradise Season 3 Contains Familiar Faces

Not only did TLC reveal the premiere date, the network also teased the Love in Paradise season 3 cast, which includes returning cast members from the franchise. Carlos Jiménez and De Juan "VaLentine," from Love in Paradise season 2, will be back for season 3, which features their wedding planning drama. Viewers can also expect to see The Family Chantel star Pedro Jimeno’s mother, Lidia Jimeno, who will be meeting her love interest for the first time in the Dominican Republic. The cast also includes several newcomers—online lovers Ana and Matt; Jessica and Juan, who are expecting a baby; Jordan, a nudist, and Everton, her conservative partner; and April and Valentin, who have a significant age gap and cultural differences.

It’s no surprise that TLC made the decision to renew Love in Paradise, as the show has become one of the most popular 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs. It could be the tropical locales and colorful settings that draw viewers in, or it could be the show’s surprisingly diverse and inclusive cast. But aside from those factors, Love in Paradise has, over the course of two seasons, served up the perfect amount of drama and genuine emotion. There are few shows in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise that consist of equal parts campy fun and compelling storylines that aren’t problematic.

Though there wasn’t much doubt that Love in Paradise would return, given the show’s popularity, it’s still a relief to have a definite season 3 premiere date. TLC is known for its unceasing 90 Day Fiancé content, and the network is constantly greenlighting new seasons so they can be filmed and aired to allow for no gaps in their programming schedule. For any fans who were bored senseless by 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7, and isn't satisfied with The Other Way season 4, 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise season 3 will make an excellent chaser.
