Popular 90 Day Fiancé spin-off 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise has returned with season 2, and it’s clearer than ever that the show is one of the most underrated in the franchise. Love in Paradise season 1 was centered around American cast members who fell in love with people from Caribbean countries, but season 2 has expanded to include other tropical locations as well. Though the spin-off has attracted many long-time 90 Day Fiancé fans, there are a lot of viewers who haven't yet watched Love in Paradise, and they're missing out.

Love in Paradise season 1 featured just four couples, but all of them had unique and compelling storylines. Season 2 has proven to be even more entertaining, with five couples this time. Though two couples are returning, there are three new couples who already appear to be exceptional additions to the cast. The season 2 premiere was hotly-anticipated by many fans, and after just one episode, viewers are excited to see how everything plays out for the couples.

There’s been a lot of dissatisfaction among 90 Day Fiancé fans lately, who feel the franchise is growing stale. 90 Day Fiancé season 9 has been particularly poorly-received by viewers who can’t stand the cast and their underwhelming stories. But there are other spin-offs that fans are growing bored with as well. 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? is often called out for containing seemingly-staged scenes, and 90 Day: The Single Life cast has been panned during seasons 1 and 2 for its controversial cast. However, Love in Paradise is cut from a different cloth, and more long-time franchise viewers should give the show a chance.

Love in Paradise Has a Lighter Tone

Love in Paradise seems to have much lower stakes than many other 90 Day Fiancé franchise shows and overall feels more fun than most other spin-offs. The tone of Love in Paradise is far lighter and like 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, couples are often depicted at the start of their relationship, so it’s not as crucial for them to stay together. Perhaps it’s the laid-back tropical attitudes of many of the show’s foreign cast members, but Love in Paradise is overall more fun and enjoyable than most other franchise shows.

There’s More Adventurous Casting on Love in Paradise

When casting Love in Paradise, it also seems like producers think outside the box far more than with the rest of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. Though season 1 had a fairly standard cast, season 2 really stepped it up. There is another LGBTQ couple joining the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, as well as the franchise’s first throuple. More diverse and inclusive casting leads to more interesting cast members and storylines, which is a big win for viewers.

Love in Paradise Features Incredible Locations

If there’s no other reason to watch Love in Paradise, fans should tune in for the show’s amazing tropical backdrop. The show features locations like Colombia, Mexico, Jamaica, and more, and the B-roll footage from each couple’s segments is stunning. Producers included many shots of the cast members’ beautiful surroundings, and 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise is surely inspiring wanderlust among viewers.
