90 Day Fiancé star Loren Brovarnik’s mother, Marlene Goldstone, has once again caused a bump in the road by spoiling their show's baby shower storyline. Loren first appeared in 90 Day Fiancé season 3, and quickly became a fan favorite with her husband, Alexei Brovarnik. The duo was so popular that they were granted a spin-off, Loren & Alexei: After the 90 Days. The series has provided plenty of opportunities for viewers to be invested, including the drama with Marlene and the rest of her family.
Recently, 90 Day Fiancé's Loren Brovarnik and Alexei have been considering relocating to Israel so that their kids can experience their father's culture. It’s a sensical decision, and it reemphasizes how Loren wants the best for her children. However, even the thought of moving sparked a harsh argument on Loren’s side of the family, causing Marlene and Loren’s sister Rebecca Goldstone to essentially ghost her.
90 Day Fiancé's Loren’s Shock Over Marlene & Rebecca’s Nonchalant Attitude
On After The 90 Days, Loren was surprised when the pair showed up at her baby shower “like nothing happened.” People reported that Loren was shocked by Marlene and Rebecca's arrival, especially since they said no to the RSVP. Loren reacted to their appearance by saying, "I'm rarely speechless, and I think my face showed 'What the f***?’” But perhaps the more unfortunate turn in this saga is how Marlene spoiled the outcome months before. On Instagram, Marlene posted her presence at the baby shower back in September. She shared a photo with her two daughters, and they were wearing the same outfits from the event. "Lucky to have 2 of the Best Daughters! Loren Brovarnik & Rebecca Goldstone," Marlene wrote. Even then, no one was on her side, with commenters writing, “Your treatment of Loren is despicable,” and “Everyone needs a break from you.”
Marlene Can’t Help But Ruin Everything On The 90 Day Fiancé Spinoff
Loren’s mom Marlene has overstepped her boundaries more than once, and it’s good to see a push-back against her. It is confusing why she even posted the picture in the first place, but presumably, she was trying to make herself out to be a good mother and grandmother. Unfortunately for Marlene, in trying to make herself look good, she only induced more rage by spoiling the reveal that she would be at the baby shower. There was no way she was going to come out of this situation looking like a good person. With so much prejudice against Marlene already, ruining the storyline was her worst course of action.
On the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, it is common for cast members who are disliked by viewers to become a staple of reality TV. However, Marlene’s destructive nature is worrisome. Loren has been through so much besides fighting with her mother, including living with postpartum depression. Her relationship with her mother is undoubtedly one of the most engaging parts of the show. It calls into question if both producers and viewers enable Marlene for the sake of content. If that is the case, Loren's mom Marlene will keep reappearing in a need for ratings, and the best anyone can do is tell her how wrong she is.
