Star of 90 Day Fiancé Loren Brovarnik opened up to discuss her struggles with being a new mother and dealing with postpartum depression after giving birth to her baby boy, Shai Josef Brovarnik.

Viewers first met Loren Brovarnik on season three of 90 Day Fiancé as she navigated her relationship with now husband Alexei Brovarnik, who is from Israel. The two of them met on a trip Loren took to Israel in 2013. She fell head over heels in love with Alexei, who was a paramedic on the trip. They finally got married two years later after waiting for Alexei’s visa to be approved. They shared their ups and downs on the show, but their relationship was stable and the love they felt for each other translated through the screen, as many fans loved their connection and even dubbed them relationship goals. Recently, they have started a new chapter involving their baby boy Shai, but although Loren welcomed motherhood, it does have its fair share of challenges.

Loren Brovarnik welcomed baby Shai in April in South Beach Mount Sinai. When she opened her Instagram story for a Q&A, a fan asked her how she got over the "hump". Loren went on to answer that she never really gets over them, as they come and go. She said, “currently having a down phase if you will.” Loren has realized that you cannot cure the bad days, but you can cherish the good ones. She has also made a point to not worry about her post-baby body and to let her body do what it wants to do.

Postpartum depression is common in many mothers after the birth of their children; however, it is not spoken about nearly as much as it should be. Some mothers do not feel that natural maternal instinct right away and that is okay. That is why Loren discussing these issues on her Instagram Live is so important.

Children are a blessing, but mothers need to check in on themselves to make sure they are okay. It can be difficult adjusting to being a mother, especially a new one. Having an entire human being to take care of is a huge task. Loren is doing the best she can, and so are a lot of mothers out there. The 90 Day Fiancé star is using her platform to shed light on important topics, and hopefully her 1 million followers learnt something from Loren’s own experiences.
