After yet another Potthast family blowup on the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, fans are more fed up than ever and are saying that Libby’s siblings are the last people who should be criticizing her husband Andrei. Already, Libby and Andrei are one of the least liked couples in the franchise, and although fans drag Andrei’s entitlement, they’re saying Libby’s siblings are even worse than the controversial couple.
Though fans’ ire has shifted towards Libby’s siblings, Andrei has gotten his share of criticism this season too. Many called Andrei delusional for asking Libby’s father Chuck for a $100,000 loan to start up a business with which he has no experience. Still, there are a lot of viewers who are more irritated by the Potthast family and the way they seem to be creating unnecessary drama. The entire family had a huge fight during an outing on a yacht and for some reason afterwards thought it would be a good idea for everyone to go on an RV road trip to the Potthast family reunion.
To no one’s surprise, the RV trip went terribly, and the family has been fighting the entire way. But one of the Potthast siblings’ arguments struck fans as hypocritical. Libby’s siblings criticize Andrei for expecting handouts and opportunities from their father; however, fans have pointed out that they do the same thing. The Potthast kids are employed by their father as well, and fans are sarcastically calling it “American exceptionalism at its finest.” The pot shouldn't call the kettle black, and fans are sick of hearing about it from Libby’s siblings.
“‘I worked hard for what I have’ says the people who have been handed everything by daddy,” a fan commented on Reddit, and many agreed whole-heartedly. Some called Libby’s siblings “xenophobic a**holes” and others called them out for their privilege, rightfully pointing out that most people don’t have the luxury of their parents hooking them up with houses and jobs. There’s a lot of hate right now for Libby’s family, and it’s possible that the Potthasts are driving viewers away from the franchise.
Though Andrei isn’t exactly a saint on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Libby’s siblings definitely aren’t either. It’s a real don’t throw stones from glass houses situation, and fans are sick of seeing them criticize Andrei for having the same entitlements that they themselves enjoy. It’s unlikely that Andrei will ever make peace with Libby’s family, especially when they’re so hypocritical and judgmental. Even if everyone does make amends, fans are out on the Potthasts and hope they never see them on the franchise again.
