Becky is the sister of Elizabeth "Libby" Potthast, who is known to have a very controversial family, including her husband Andrei Castravet. Libby and Andrei first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 5, and have since appeared on Happily Ever After seasons 4, 5, 6, and 7. Libby's family, including Becky, always play a large part in the couple's storyline, as they struggle to get along with Andrei, and at times Libby as well.
Fans on Reddit recently called Becky out for casually using the term PTSD during a recent episode of Happily Ever After? While having a conversation with her sisters, Becky mentioned that she had "PTSD" from a family barbeque, where her brother got physically aggressive with Andrei. Reddit user thenewnewnewbie began the thread, expressing that she found Libby, Becky, and their entire family to be disgusting. They wrote, "As the wife of a combat veteran who does suffer from actual PTSD and a child of poor and addicted/abusive parents I just can not."
90 Day Fiancé Fans Think Libby's Entire Family Is Toxic
While fans have always disliked Libby's family, they are finding them to be worse than ever on the current season. Reddit user coolkidsam commented, "Libby's family is just toxic and they do drink too much." Other fans in the comments specifically focused on Becky's comment and emphasized that PTSD was not a joke or a term to be thrown around lightly. While the barbeque may have been a traumatic event for Becky, fans pointed out that PTSD requires long-term trauma that Becky did not appear to exhibit.
Many fans also think that the Potthast family makes such an effort to appear on the show simply for clout and publicity. Over the last two seasons, some viewers have felt that several of their dramatic scenes may have been staged, including Libby and Becky's fight on the boat and Andrei and Charlie's fight at the barbeque. Fans are tired of the Potthast family playing such a large role on the show, and many want their screen time to be significantly cut down.
While 90 Day Fiancé fans have not always seen eye to eye with Andrei, they feel that he has matured over the seasons much more than any of the Potthast family members have.
