Kimberly Menzies and Usman “Sojaboy” Umar just became dating official on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5, but their graphic segments together are turning many viewers off from watching their storyline. Usman is already infamous in the 90 Day Fiancé world for his short-lived marriage to franchise villain Lisa Hamme. Usman is now earning equal criticism for his relationship with Kimberly.
Kimberly started the season as Usman’s “potential girlfriend,” as he said he wanted to take things slowly following his explosive divorce from Lisa. Kim was extremely eager for intimacy, which led to her trying to win Usman over with expensive presents including a new Mac laptop and a PS5 gaming system. Though Usman was reluctant to be affectionate towards Kimberly, she gave him an ultimatum. Kimberly made it clear that if Usman did not give her physical intimacy, she would return to the U.S. and cut off communication. Usman then decided to become official with Kimberly and have sex with her, which caused viewers to question if Kimberly funds his lifestyle, and he was afraid to lose her support.
While Usman and Kimberly were only briefly shown kissing, their commentary has become excessively graphic and extremely off-putting to viewers. Usman described in detail the “African” experience he wanted to show Kimberly in the bedroom, while he made sure to repeatedly tell viewers he was well-endowed before speculating that the bedroom activities might render Kimberly unable to walk properly the next day. Though Usman insists his conservative culture prevents him from being intimate with someone casually or showing PDA, he had zero qualms about bragging about his body and his bedroom performance in extensive detail.
Meanwhile, Kimberly has been even more graphic than Usman when it comes to discussing sex. Kimberly first angrily demanded Usman sleep with her and even said that he would make her son angry by disappointing her. She then proceeded to describe the eventual sex with Usman in multiple graphic conversations following their time together. Kimberly and Usman both compared him to multiple produce products, such as a cassava and a yam. Kimberly also described the differences between Usman and American men. She even went so far as to describe Usman's bedroom preferences, which provided viewers with far more details than they would have liked.
Overall, graphic conversations such as those with Usman and Kimberly represent a negative change in franchise content. Though originally 90 Day Fiancé was credited with genuinely exploring the K-1 visa process, newer entries in the franchise are filled with loud cast members vying for attention and reveling in debauchery. Viewers are also growing uncomfortable with the increasingly graphic scenes being aired. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 has so far shown prolonged hookups between Caleb Greenwood and Alina Kozhevnikova, as well as Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda, rather than focusing on the emerging emotional connections between the couples.
