Usman “Sojaboy” Umar might have been the one to betray Kimberly Menzies on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days, but viewers are also unhappy with how Kimberly responded to Usman’s deception. Usman admitted to his girlfriend that he had been dating a woman named Zara for four months while talking to Kimberly as a friend. He also mentioned that he had made a music video and song about her. Kimberly was furious at Usman for not telling her sooner, though 90 Day Fiancé fans also took issue with how Kimberly spoke to Usman.
Usman and Kimberly are one Before The 90 Days couple who are rather mismatched. Kimberly is significantly older than Usman and got immediate disapproval from his team. Alas, Usman eventually came around and decided that he wanted to officially date her. Alas, Usman and Kimberly might've had one of the shortest relationships of all time. The first day of their relationship led to Kimberly declaring the duo should part ways after Usman informed her about Zara. Kimberly called the woman a “b**ch” multiple times and furiously yelled “yo” at Usman as she relayed how heartbroken she was from him withholding information about his previous relationship.
Many viewers are upset with Kimberly’s angry reaction. A fan took to Reddit in order to call Kimberly out for attacking Zara when it was Usman that lied to her. Some viewers were confused by Kimberly’s anger over the situation since she previously stated she was fine with Usman having children with younger women since she has passed her childbearing years. “But earlier to her friends she said Usman having multiple wives was fine,” one confused commenter wrote. Other commenters thought that Kimberly should have seen Usman’s confession coming. “That she thought for a second Zara represented all the girls in the world is what’s crazy, yo,” a viewer wrote.
Viewers were also annoyed with how many times Kimberly said “yo.” “If I hear “yo” one more time I swear... As if it wasn’t cringe enough the first time!” one top commenter wrote. Many viewers thought that Kimberly’s behavior was embarrassing. Kimberly also appeared to act differently during her breakdown with Usman, as she was throwing her hands in gestures that felt very unnatural for her given her previous behavior.
While Before The 90 Days viewers are disappointed with Kimberly, she is redeeming herself with her social media apology. She has made it clear that her actions onscreen, which happened over a year ago, were inappropriate and embarrassing. Kimberly also apologized to Zara for calling her names and said that it was wrong to attack her. Since many 90 Day Fiancé cast members lack self-awareness, viewers found it refreshing that Kimberly is holding herself accountable. Her genuine apologies could prevent Kimberly from becoming another 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days villain since viewers are currently annoyed with a number of other cast members.
