According to the new reality star, she approached Usman because she liked his music. After talking to each other online, the two decided to take their friendship to the next level and meet in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
While the Nigerian rapper wants to take things slow, Kim is eager to become his girlfriend. In a recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Kim embarrassed herself by assuming Usman was proposing to her. He invited Kim to his room and asked her to close her eyes. Kim got too excited and asked him if he was proposing. Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers felt embarrassed for Kim when Usman only gifted her a necklace and two bracelets that he brought from Nigeria.
Kim recently talked to US Weekly and shared why she joined the show with Usman. Viewers may remember that Lisa accused Usman of being a scammer and using the show to further his rapping career. However, Kim has shared that isn't the case. According to the new TLC star, "Usman does the show for love." Kim added, "I don't think he did it for any other reason but to get our story out there." She revealed that she didn't want to be a part of the show initally. However, Kim eventually changed her mind and decided to tell her unusual love story.
Kim thinks it is amazing how their story evolved during the season. She first became Usman's superfan, then progressed to become his potential girlfriend and "personal person." Now that Kim has become a part of the popular 90 Day Fiancé franchise, she is enjoying the perks that come with it. She added, "I'm getting Cameos now, and I'm getting these lovely interviews." Kim affirmed that her Nigerian boyfriend didn't have any ulterior motives, and he only joined the show to tell their story. Kim doesn't know if she wants to get married in the future, but she is ecstatically happy with the way things are.
Kim looked super happy throughout her interview, and she defended Usman. Since she talked about him respectfully, it seems like she has fallen in love with him.
