The 51-year-old Kim started chatting with 33-year-old Usman on Twitter DMs after becoming a fan of his music. Kim probably knew Usman from his previous appearance in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4, in which he got married to his now ex-wife Lisa “Babygirl” Hamme. Because Lisa was also Kim’s age and a White American woman, Usman took his time in deciding to date Kim. He eventually got engaged to her, and the couple currently stars in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7.
When fans first met Kim on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5, she told them her backstory. 90 Day Fiancé cast member Kim was going to meet Usman for the first time in person in Tanzania, where he was filming a music video about his ex-girlfriend Zara. At the time, Kim was staying in San Diego with her mom Sally as her primary caregiver. Apart from her late mom, Kim’s life revolved around her 25-year-old son Jamal Menzies.
