New 90 Day Fiancé star Kim Menzies found herself in an awkward situation when she assumed that Usman Umar was proposing to her. Kim is Usman's superfan, and the duo is now being featured on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5. While the San Diego native is madly in love with Usman and desperately wants to be his girlfriend, the Nigerian rapper wants to take things slow. The couple decided to spend some quality time in Tanzania to see if they will take their relationship to the next level.
In the last few episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, TLC viewers saw Kim fly to Zanzibar, Tanzania, for her two-week trip. She booked herself a honeymoon suite, hoping that Usman might give in and agree to stay in her room. The 50-year-old reality star even pampered the musical artist with super expensive gifts, a new MacBook Pro and a PS5 gaming system. Usman was grateful for Kim's presents, but he still chose to spend the night in his own room. But he now wants to give Kim some gifts that he got from Nigeria.
A preview for the next episode of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off shows that Usman invited Kim to his room after meeting the gorgeous local singer Rosa Ree. The Nigerian reality star asked his potential girlfriend to close her eyes and keep her hands down. Kim closed her eyes and asked Usman if he was proposing to her. She said, "Are you proposing to me? Really, I will die." Usman replied, "I didn't say you should give me your hand. I said 'close your eyes.'" Kim still thought Usman would propose to her, and she said, "My heart is beating so fast. I'm sweating and everything. Jesus."
Usman who is also known as Sojaboy, then presented Kim with the beaded necklace he had brought from Nigeria. He tied the necklace around Kim's neck and gave her two beautiful bracelets. The 90 Day Fiancé star loved the jewelry that Usman gifted her, but she felt awkward for thinking that he was going to propose to her. She said, "It is absolutely insane I would think Usman was gonna propose to me on the second date." Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers are feeling embarrassed for Kim. A fan said, "This old lady done lost her mind proposing. Girl he playing u for TV time." Another chimed in, "She is too embarrassing to watch in every way."
There is no doubt Kim looked desperate in this scene. But it is possible that she got certain hints from Usman that made her believe he could propose to her. He told the stunning Tanzanian musician Rose that he sees Kim as a potential wife, and he could see himself getting married to her. Still, Kim should take baby steps instead of jumping into this new relationship too quickly. Nevertheless, Kim shouldn't be embarrassed; she should be happy because this scene made many 90 Day Fiancé fans laugh.
