Kenneth Niedermeier from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way seasons 2 and 3 took to his Instagram Stories recently to address comments that a blogger made about him, stating that the blogger "assumed things that aren't fact." Kenneth and his spouse, Armando Rubio, quickly became favorites of franchise fans when they made their debut on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2, which began with Kenneth leaving his Florida home to live in Mexico with his partner, Armando, and Armando's 6-year-old daughter, Hannah.

On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Armando planned to move with Hannah to another Mexican town several hours away from his family. Shortly after Kenneth arrived in Mexico, Armando came out to his parents as gay and explained that he was dating Kenneth and moving to another city with him. Armando's mother and sister tried to accept Armando's sexual orientation, but his father struggled with accepting his son's announcement.

On Instagram, Kenneth clapped back at a blogger. Although he kept the blogger's identity a secret in his Instagram post, popular 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates made a now-deleted post three hours earlier, in which he compared Kenneth to fellow The Other Way cast member Jenny Slatten and accused both cast members of "pushing their first world agendas on their spouses." Jenny, who has been on all three seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way so far, moved to India to be with her partner, Sumit Singh. One of the biggest conflicts the couple faces throughout the show is that Sumit's parents are against him dating someone older. In John's post, he stated that Kenny and Jenny are both in their 60's and that the spouses of Kenny and Jenny both come from families with "third world values and beliefs," adding that Armando's family is deeply Catholic.

Kenneth pointed out on Instagram that he is not in his 60's, and Armando's family is not Catholic. He also stated that he watched Armando struggle for years with coming out as gay and being free to be himself, and that John had publicly spoken out against their relationship before. John posted Kenny's response on his own Instagram, which has also now been deleted. He posted it along with a caption saying that he was going off of what he sees on the show, but he doesn't feel bad about his comments. Around the same time that Kenny posted his reply to John's statement, his husband and fellow franchise favorite Armando posted on his Instagram Story that "the sewer rat is at it again." Jenny and Sumit, both of whom are not very active on social media, have not responded to John's comments. However, many fans of Kenny and Armando expressed their disagreement with John's post in his Instagram comments. One fan called John "desperate to stay relevant starting drama with these two."

One similarity between Kenneth and Jenny that John did not acknowledge is that both cast members have many fans who are relentlessly rooting for their respective love stories. There are many 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couples that viewers love to hate, but Kenny, Jenny and their partners in that group. Therefore, it makes sense he is getting fan backlash for his comments.
