The recent episode of the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way showcased Kenneth Niedermeier reuniting with his partner, Armando Rubio, in Mexico. However, there seems to be a small crack in their relationship, as the American native is struggling to adjust in the foreign land.

The first gay male couple of the franchise was extremely emotional and happy to be together. Many viewers were overjoyed to see that Armando and Kenneth are now going to live together for the rest of their lives. Both partners have made many sacrifices to be with each other. While Armando left his mother, father, and sister behind, Kenneth had to let go of his whole life in Florida, including his friends, children, and grandson. But being in the same place was just the first challenge of many. Now that Kenneth is actually living with Armando, he has started to feel how difficult it will be for him to survive in Mexico.

The apartment Kenneth and Armando picked was clean and tidy, but Kenneth quickly noticed that there was no central heat and no air conditioning. After Kenneth's arrival, the couple decided to explore the area they are living in. Although Kenneth had been to Mexico for vacations before, it was his first time exploring like a local. He felt a bit of "culture shock" in the country. He struggled to adjust to the randomly placed stop signs. Being a germaphobe, he couldn't fathom a candy cart in the middle of the road selling candies that would probably have "road-dirt" on them. A local store looked like a "garage" to him, and it was stressful for him to suddenly get used to Mexican currency. To top it all off, everyone around Kenneth was speaking in Spanish, a language he doesn't understand. He wasn't able to communicate with the locals or even order food without his partner's help.

For Kenneth, everything is new and different all at once. He soon realized that it was going to be a "challenge" for him to survive without Armando's help. Still, he is hopeful that he will adapt to these new changes. He said, "I just hope it won't take me a long time." Next week, the couple is going to meet Armando's parents for the first time. That will be another challenge to overcome because Armando's father has not yet accepted his son as gay. It's a long road ahead for these lovebirds.

Unfortuantely, it doesn't look like it's going to be any easier for Armando and Kenneth in the coming weeks. In the sneak peek for next week's episode, we saw that Kenneth feels rejected after Armando doesn't let him hold his hand in public. The 31-year-old doesn't want to be attacked by local people who don't support openly gay couples. Let's see if Kenneth succumbs to the pressure or makes peace with reality.
