Karine Staehle of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has been under a lot of stress lately. In the August 23 episode, she locked herself in the bathroom. When she finally came out, she didn't let the camera crew around her and also ignored her husband, Paul Staehle

When the TLC production team arrived at 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? couple's house, they found that the Brazilian locked herself in the bathroom. Her American husband knocked on the door and asked her to come out and if she needs anything. The camera crew couldn't comprehend the situation and asked Paul about what was going on. The 36-year-old replied, "I'm not sure. I told her mom's coming over. She's gone to the bathroom, and is not coming out." Eventually, she came out of the bathroom but instantly left the house after briefly talking to her mother-in-law. She told her, "I'm feeling bad. It's not you, OK?" She then sat in a nearby park alone and didn't talk to her husband or the camera. This behavior of the Brazilian seemed odd to many 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? fans. While many are speculating that she was recovering from a domestic abuse episode at the time, others thought she was dealing with postpartum depression.

Now, the TLC star revealed the real reason why she wasn't herself in the previous episode. While speaking to cameras, she said, "Things are not going well since I arrived in America. I left the house because I wanted to be alone. I was upset because I'm not adapting here in the U.S and because Paul and I have been arguing a lot." She added, "A few weeks ago, I gave Paul two months to find work, but nothing has happened so far. So I want to talk to an immigration lawyer to know what the options are with my situation here."

Well, it looks like the couple did have an argument before the 90 Day Fiancé production team arrived at their trailer home. To get away from that intense situation, the mother of one locked herself in the bathroom. In this episode, Karine made the decision to meet with an immigration lawyer, saying "I'm very scared. It's the first time I've left the house without Paul. I don't know if Paul's going to be angry with me. But I need somebody to help me. I'm desperate."

After the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season was filmed, things between the duo escalated quickly. Their fights took a nasty turn, and now Karine has obtained a full restraining order against her husband. She explained her circumstances on IG and wrote, "I had issues where the police was called because I feared for my life and my son's life which led me to ask for help and ultimately be rescued from an environment that no longer was healthy for none of us involved in the situation." Paul seems to regret his actions, but would that make Karine come back to him? Viewers don't think so.
