90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star, Karine Is on a CR-1 Visa. So what is it? Since the couple was originally married in her home country of Brazil the two were entitled to apply for another type of visa.

Paul and Karine first appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, where viewers met them for the first time on camera in Brazil and watched them marry in November 2017. The couple struggled a lot, but one particularly heartbreaking low was when Karine suffered a miscarriage on the show. When Karine found out she was pregnant again, she was unable to come to the US because Paul couldn't afford the K-1 visa process and his mom refused to sponsor her, leaving Paul with no other choice than to move to Brazil. On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, the show highlighted the moments before the birth of their baby boy, Pierre, and all of the fights they had about Karine texting other American men. Despite the drama, it was reported that Paul and Karine were finally living together in the US after they were spotted near Paul's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

Now, Karine has been approved for her American visa and will be sharing her new adventure with her husband on the hit spin-off. Now, the couple are starting a new life in the United States. Their story starts off by showing the infamous moment when Paul tried to run away from the cameras only to run into the jungle to almost get mugged. The couple needed to start over and while looking for a new place the trailer showed them touring a dilapidated trailer to which Karine lets the cameras know the situation is gross. Paul feels frustrated as he does not feel his wife is being receptive to the options as he makes no money due to not having a job.

On Sunday’s all new episode, Karine explains to cameras that she holds a CR-1 visa which is different from the K-1 visa fans are used to hearing about. Simply put, a CR-1 visa is a United States immigrant visa that allows a spouse of a US citizen to enter the country under a conditional permanent resident. The couple must have been married for less than two years. Couples who have been married longer are places onto the IR-1 visa.

Karine has already stated that if living in America does not work out, she and the baby will move back to Brazil, leaving Paul in American to work. Fans watched as Karine admitted she was hesitant about leaving her family and country behind to start anew. Viewers will have to keep watching as Paul is bound to have a mental break down at least once since he is no good at keeping his anger under control.
