90 Day Fiancé star Kara Rojer neé Bass shared details about her newborn son, Nicolas Antonio Rojer, and her experience delivering at a natural birthing center. Kara and Guillermo shocked fans when they announced they were pregnant at the 90 Day Fiancé season 9 Tell All. The pregnancy news was so surprising because fans were unsure the couple would make it to the altar, let alone stay together after getting married. They watched the 29-year-old Virginia native, and her younger 23-year-old Venezuelan fiancé, navigate highs and lows during their three-month engagement in America. Most of their issues centered around Kara’s controlling nature and propensity for drinking and partying.

Kara and Guillermo welcomed their baby boy into the world on November 28th and announced the news on Instagram on December 3rd. In the days following his birth, Kara returned to the platform to share details about Nicolas as well as her experience delivering naturally at a birth center. In an Instagram story, Kara revealed that her water broke on her due date, she labored for just five and a half hours, and did not receive an epidural. Her baby boy weighed 7.6 pounds when he was born at 4:30 in the morning. The new parents opted for a birth center instead of a hospital because the birth center “does not induce, minimal cervical exams, holistic postpartum care, encourage various birth positions depending on position and needs of the baby and mother.”

Kara and Guillermo’s birth plan was the right choice for them, but she acknowledged in her story that everyone’s needs are different, something that should be respected. Kara also took the opportunity to answer various questions from fans including how her body was feeling post-delivery. Kara revealed that she was “just exhausted honestly,” and that her body was sore “particularly [her] arms from bracing [her]self for contractions.” Fans were also curious whether Kara would show a picture of Nicolas’ face on social media. She replied, “eventually I’m sure we will be sharing his face. Right now my thoughts are: the internet can be a very scary space. People are creepy af.” Kara added that while she and Guillermo “decided to be in television and have our love story be public…he didn’t.”

90 Day Fiancé fans were eagerly awaiting details about baby Nicolas ever since Kara announced his birth. She did not disappoint nor make fans wait too long before she shared a very transparent and vulnerable update on her Instagram. 90 Day Fiancé fans were also curious about Nicolas’ birthday and wondered if he was born on Guillermo’s birthday, December 3rd, the day they made the announcement. There was also added excitement and curiosity about the date since fellow 90 Day Fiancé season 9 couple, Patrick Mendes and Thaís Ramone, had their baby Aleesi on November 15th.

With a growing number of 90 Day Fiancé babies, perhaps it is time for TLC to consider a baby-themed spinoff. The couples who stay together and have children like Kara and Guillermo and Loren and Alexei Brovarnik become some of the most popular and beloved cast members to ever grace franchise. Focusing on the growing families, wholesome familial drama, and positive milestones may be a refreshing angle for the franchise which has often fixated on toxic relationships as the focal point for its series.
