Kalani Faagata revealed she received critical comments from 90 Day Fiancé viewers about her wearing lingerie for Rihanna’s brand Savage X Fenty on Instagram. Kalani began her TLC journey with Asuelu Pulaa in 90 Day Fiancé season 6. Kalani and Asuelu’s relationship has been on the rocks ever since, despite fans watching them getting married and living together in the United States with their two babies. Asuelu’s immaturity has been one of the reasons why Kalani’s fed up with her husband and hinted at divorce several times. Earlier this week, Asuelu confirmed his split with Kalani by confessing he’s single.
Kalani and Asuelu have never been the perfect couple, but somehow fans have always found themselves rooting for them. The couple has often had a hard time seeing eye to eye on the TLC show, and the pandemic worsened the issues in their marriage. However, on Wednesday, Kalani addressed the criticism that’s been coming her way due to her posing in lingerie. Kalani addressed the “religious people” who’ve written to her about how she doesn’t know her worth because of the photos she posts for her lingerie partnership. “In church, my worth was always tied to my body and what it could do for men,” Kalani confessed. She added that her virginity was supposed to be a gift for a husband and not herself. Her body had to be covered to help men not sin.
“After marriage, my body was revered for a husband’s needs and eyes only,” 90 Day Fiancé celeb Kalani explained. She deduced that many of the people writing to her may have been taught the same since they always mention her “worth” in relation to men. “Ie: how my dad, sons, or Asuelu would feel about the photos," Kalani added. She firmly announced that her worth is not measured by men, and it doesn't get washed away when she’s “immodest.” Kalani stated, “My worth is determined by me.” She wrote that what she chooses to do with her body doesn’t diminish her beliefs. “I know my worth, do you know yours?” Kalani asked her 90 Day Fiancé critics directly.
Kalani’s latest lingerie post on Instagram has over 23,000 likes. Fans have complimented Kalani for how amazing she looks in blue and yellow, while some 90 Day Fiancé buffs have praised Kalani for being confident, intelligent and the perfect woman that she is. However, amongst the 600-plus comments she’s received, Kalani has also been called out for her outfit by people who want to judge her. The way she is dealing with the rude messages is certainly something that her admirers are in awe of. Kalani, who’s already a fan-favorite for speaking her mind on the show, continues to receive love for the graceful way she deals with negativity.
