After being asked by a 90 Day Fiancé viewer, Kalani Faagata revealed why she's not very active on Instagram. The Utah native was first featured on the show with her younger husband Asuelu Pulaa. The couple didn't seem compatible with each other, but they still tried to make their relationship work because they were already expecting their first child together. Kalani and Asuelu welcomed their first son, Oliver, in January 2018, and a few months later, they were again pregnant. Two pregnancies in two consecutive years took a toll on Kalani's mental and physical health, and even her marriage with Asuelu deteriorated over time.

In the last couple of months, the duo stopped posting happy family pictures together on social media, which suggested to some fans that they were finally headed for divorce. While Kalani chose to keep her relationship status a secret, Asuelu announced that he was single in June 2022. His latest Instagram posts suggest that he is enjoying his newly single status after splitting from his wife. In fact, Samoan native Asuelu recently posted a selfie on Instagram to show off his expensive new blue car.

90 Day Fiancé fans have noticed that while Asuelu is quite active on social media amid his separation, Kalani is apparently staying low key. Perhaps that's why a fan recently asked Kalani, "Why don't you post more?? Not hate genuinely just curious." The reality star responded to the question by saying that the Instagram "algorithm sucks." She continued, "I spend time on content only for @instagram to decide to show it to 1/8 of my followers and it's super frustrating."

While Kalani is annoyed that her content is shown to a limited audience, she also added that she likes to keep a part of her life private, especially when things aren't going very well with her estranged husband, Asuelu. She mentioned that she didn't even share a post on her birthday earlier this month. But Kalani thanked her 804,000 Instagram followers for being there for her, and she promised them to be more active in the future.

It is understandable that the 34-year-old reality star likes to keep some of her life private, but she may have to post more on social media if she really wants to be back on her fans' social media feeds. Since she is only posting a couple of times a month, it is possible that Instagram limits her posts' reach. She would probably need to frequently share Stories on Instagram and experiment with Reels to improve engagement on her posts. Hopefully, Oliver and Kennedy's mother Kalani will outsmart the algorithm in the coming months; after all, she has a loyal army of over 800,000 fans on Instagram.
