A month after 90 Day Fiancé star Michael Jessen announced his breakup with Juliana Custodio, the Brazilian model has gone Instagram official with her baby daddy Benjamin. Wine entrepreneur Michael, 46, and Juliana, 23, appeared on season 7 of the flagship TLC show. Despite Juliana's visa issues and fans concerned about their age gap and any ulterior motives Juliana might have had, the couple got married in October 2019. However, Michael exposed the truth about his and Juliana’s split on their second anniversary and revealed she had moved on. Meanwhile, Juliana confessed she was focusing on herself and her career in Germany. Clearly, fans were in for a shock when her boyfriend Benjamin revealed she’s pregnant.
Before finding success as a fashion model in Europe, Juliana struggled a lot in her life. Not only was Juliana made to work in a sweatshop as a child, but she was also reportedly a victim of exploitation and abuse, as she came from a poor background. Even though Juliana worked, she wasn’t given money or food. On 90 Day Fiancé, Juliana revealed she was briefly married to a 34-year-old man when she was just 17. Juliana met the man through a pastor at a deeply restrictive church in her area. Although they dated for four months, the man showed he was cruel on the first day of the marriage. After the pastor didn’t believe her, Juliana escaped the marriage, supposedly without divorcing her first husband.
While Michael and Juliana’s separation stories in their Instagram statements didn’t match, fans are all the more surprised to see her already pregnant with a new man. After Benjamin posted about Juliana becoming a mom soon, she officially introduced him on IG with a post containing several romantic photos. “So excited for our new adventure,” Juliana wrote and added, “Words aren’t enough to tell you how wonderful you are.” Juliana expressed she’s “forever grateful” for the happiness and joy Benjamin has brought into her life by making one of her biggest dreams of having a child come true. “We can’t wait to meet you,” Juliana told her unborn baby. For Benjamin, she said, “I am the luckiest woman to be able to call you mine.”
Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiancé fans on Reddit, such as the ones on a post by u/AshtonKechamall, noticed Juliana also shares a sizable age gap with her new boyfriend, who looks like he’s in his “mid-40s.” Another TLC viewer, u/UnsupervisedChicana, added, “Mens doesn’t control her, cash does,” referring to Juliana’s famous quote from season 7. Fans suspect Juliana may have dumped Michael because he was facing a financial crunch during COVID-19. Something about Benjamin’s persona is telling them Juliana may have a type, and it seems to be rich.
However, fans also want Juliana to be careful with her boyfriend, as both her previous relationships with older men have been disastrous at best. She has become inspiring to many 90 Day Fiancé fans by being honest and choosing to be independent. She also stood up for herself when she revealed she was supporting Michael and the blended family in Connecticut and refused to become their maid. Still, some have come to believe Michael got played by Juliana, who could have been with him only for the money and fame.
