It just took a few displeasing comments to turn fan-favorite and Brandon Gibbs’ wife Julia Trubkina into the biggest villain of the 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All. The former bodybuilder drew great criticism over her remarks about her season 8 co-stars including Rebecca Parrott and Yara Zaya getting plastic surgery. However, her “bad guy” label also had to do with her own storyline with farm-boy Brandon and his parents Ron and Betty. Here’s what made 90 Day Fiancé cast members and fans see through Julia’s poor girl act on the TLC show.

In the first part of the much-awaited Tell-All, Julia, who’s usually adored for her charming personality, irked her peers on 90 Day Fiancé. It all started when Julia revealed her conservative thoughts on plastic surgery and how if someone wants to look younger, they could just diet or hit the gym instead of being “lazy.” Julia called her co-stars “crazy people” when they didn’t agree with her, but the Dinwiddie resident set off an even more scandalous storm when 90 Day Fiancé host Shaun Robinson quizzed her about living with Betty. Julia declared that one should never stay with their parents, but Jovi Dufren confronted her husband Brandon as to why he was unprepared when he got her to America.

However, in typical mama’s boy fashion, the 90 Day Fiancé star threw Julia under the bus and revealed how it was she who had insisted on staying at the Virginia farm. Brandon confessed how Julia had not liked any of the apartments he wanted to rent, as they were lower-quality than her expectations. The only option for the 90 Day Fiancé couple was to then move into Brandon’s parents’ farm so that he could continue to save money to afford better housing. When Betty and Ron showed up in the Tell All, Julia’s mother-in-law further stunned viewers by saying that they were okay with the couple moving out “any time they wanted to.”

Another aspect of Julia’s 90 Day Fiancé storyline that earned her sympathy was her having to do farm work and tend to the animals against her will. But in a Tell-All plot twist, Julia confessed that she was doing the chores voluntarily to help Brandon out since they were usually assigned to him. “I do this because I want spend time with you,” confessed Julia as Yara noted that she did it to show that she’s not a stripper, as the Gibbs initially thought she was. Julia contested Yara’s opinions saying that she never said she’s “a poor girl,” but Rebecca joked that she didn’t even stop anyone from saying it either.

As the explosive 90 Day Fiancé episode aired, fans ripped Julia online, such as this tweet by @sweatsandpizza adding how “Julia did not have the hardest 90 days. Amira got detained in Mexico and quarantined in Serbia during riots.” TLC viewer @bananaberri1 observed, “Julia started off funny today but she rode that escalator to the annoying floor real quick.” And @The_90DayBae tweeted, “Julia is making me dislike her as much as I have Brandon all season...” With Julia getting on the bad side of so many fans and cast members, the second part of the 90 Day Fiancé Tell All could be her only chance at vindication before she returns via 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? with a villain edit.
