Is there anything that 90 Day Fiancé star Julia Trubkina can’t do? The Russian fiancé of Brandon Gibbs wowed fans with her endearing ways in season 8 but also has been shocking them simultaneously on Instagram. While the TLC show mentioned her being a go-go dancer when Brandon first saw her, she also took up farm duties in Virginia in equal stride. But in a recent photo on IG, Julia surprised her followers with a throwback from her body-building days where she looked completely unrecognizable with her six-pack abs.
Dinwiddie resident Brandon barely took a few hours to decide Julia was his future wife when he saw her on a friend’s FaceTime, dancing in a Russian club. But the 90 Day Fiancé star dealt with a 180-degree upheaval in her life when she came to stay on the Hummingbird Acres Farm with Brandon’s parents Betty and Ron, who expected her to feed pigs and collect eggs from chickens. However, recently, the 27-year-old declared on Instagram that she’d had enough with the farm jokes, while also revealing she had a whole list of 15 jobs fans could choose to associate her with. While voicing that she saw herself as a dancer in the future, Julia shared how her first job was at 13, handing out advertisements on the street.
While Julia Trubkina’s resume includes fitness instructor, nobody would have expected Brandon’s wife to reveal her physique in the startling way she did in her recent post. Standing tall in stilettos and a shiny purple swimsuit, Julia embodied her 90 Day Fiancé co-star and bikini bodybuilding champion Anfisa Nava in the flashback photo. “These were my first competition in the fitness category,” revealed Julia before mentioning how she’d trained herself on her own for a competition, and later even instructed others. “I performed for 3 years in a row in different cities,” wrote the 90 Day Fiancé newbie, as she asked her followers if they’d want her to share her “preparation process.”
TLC viewers in Julia’s comments gasped upon seeing her look. One of them asked, “Don't want to try this again?” Julia replied in an instant saying that it’s “very difficult,” but that there is always a desire to, however, “food is so delicious.” A few 90 Day Fiancé fans asked Julia about her diet, and her tattoo, but several others complained, “One of life’s mysteries is how did Brandon get so lucky?!” For a critic who asked why such a “phenomenal woman” like her is with 90 Day Fiancé star Brandon who doesn’t “compliment her character,” Julia had a fitting response. “Trust me, I won't stay in America if our relationship ends!” confessed the Krasnodar native.
Julia recently confronted the stereotype that when getting into a relationship with Brandon, she never had an “American dream.” A similar declaration was also made by her 90 Day Fiancé co-star Yara Zaya. Makes sense, as with the kind of skills Julia has, finding a job anywhere won’t be a tedious task. Fans once spotted whey protein jars in the Gibbs residence, which they thought were for Brandon. It wouldn't be surprising if Julia was the one eating them instead.
