While Brandon Gibbs was worried about the coronavirus messing up his and Julia’s 90 Day Fiancé wedding, it was also him not feeling 100 percent sure. Julia didn’t find the dress she wanted for the big day, but the TLC pair decided to go with the flow anyway. The last few episodes saw Julia trying her best to fit in the farm life, and also succeed, but fans had the nagging fear that Brandon wasn’t mature enough to wed. However, episode 16 of 90 Day Fiancé season 8 saw the couple say their vows in each other’s languages, and Julia took to Instagram to share her sweet story with Brandon in tow.

Brandon and Julia’s 90 Day Fiancé romance began with him casually seeing her on a friend’s FaceTime call in Russia, and him deciding that she was going to be his future wife. Brandon went over and above his limits to pray for Julia’s visa and tickets until he got into a $10k debt by the time she came to America. But Julia had issues of her own with Brandon’s helicopter parents Betty and Ron interfering in their personal life. As days passed, viewers saw Brandon and Julia fight, make up, have jacuzzi sessions, spa days in bathtubs, and arguments in churches, until they finally got married in one. But even then, Julia panicked due to her Russian family and her father, not being by her side to walk her down the aisle – movie style.

As the 90 Day Fiancé pair headed to church to tie the knot, many were surprised how supportive Betty and Ron were toward Julia, not letting her feel the absence of her parents. However, Brandon still questioned if he was making a mistake, despite him writing down his vows in Russian with Crayola markers. Brandon still walked down the aisle with Julia as her parents Elena and Igor joined in via video call. In her princess-like look, Julia, who was referred to by her Slavic name “Yulia” in his vows by 90 Day Fiancé groom Brandon, cried because of his cuteness.

But it was Julia’s turn to be cute when she shared a sweet moment from the wedding day on Instagram as soon as their segment ended. “We did it,” wrote the former bodybuilder Julia in her caption and had her comments section filled with congratulatory messages from 90 Day Fiancé stars and fans alike. “My favorite couple of the season!” wrote Varya Malina, and “Congratulations you two!!” added season 8 co-star Rebecca Parrott, who also got married to Zied Hakimi in episode 16.

Several TLC viewers couldn’t stop gushing over Brandon’s Russian vows. “I about lost it when he started reading his vows in Russian!! I cried like a baby!” wrote one of Julia’s followers, and “Brandon saves the day” commented another. With Brandon getting called the villain and bad guy throughout the season for tricking Julia into living on the farm and later being ignorant of her needs, this redemption comes as a welcome relief.  With Julia’s protein cookies and his Russian angel forever by his side, 90 Day Fiancé’s Brandon has become a star, after all.
