90 Day Fiancé fans are always curious about what Jovi Dufren does for a living when he’s away from Yara Zaya and baby Mylah for work. Jovi’s Instagram followers were in for a surprise when he posted plenty of photos of him at his ROV supervisor job and revealed why he chose the exciting career. Jovi met Ukrainian wife Yara while he was at work on a travel dating app, kickstarting the love story that made them one of the most popular couples of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. But what is it that Jovi does at his job? The Louisiana star revealed it all on Instagram.

During his introduction on 90 Day Fiancé season 8, Jovi explained that he does underwater robotics, which makes him stay away from home for longer periods of time. It was due to work that Jovi and Yara also had a rushed wedding and he had to be gone for months when she was pregnant with Mylah. Yara had plenty of times shown displeasure at Jovi’s erratic work schedule although fans have also been calling her out for being ungrateful as the husband does seem to earn handsomely. Regardless, Jovi, who had shared that he does underwater maintenance on pipelines for oil production, also flaunted that work allows him to travel the world.

In his newest post, which is a slideshow of exciting memories, 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi Dufren uses Kid Francescoli’s track “Moon (And It Went Like)” as he revealed how he’s so well-traveled, having visited 57/195 countries as per his Instagram bio. "Traveling with my job at such a young age really opened my eyes to see the world,” he wrote on his clip. Jovi, who grew up spending his summers on shrimp boats in Larose, had told the cameras, “being on boats is in my blood.” In his caption, Jovi specified that it was just after his 18th birthday that he went on his first trip out of the country for work.

From the first moment I traveled out of the country, I knew it was something I really wanted to continue doing,” Jovi told his 196k plus Instagram followers. Meanwhile, the photos gave a peek into Jovi’s life off-camera, as they showed him posing with his ROV or remotely operated vehicle, in diving gear, with fish, flamethrowers, and his trips all over the world, from Moscow to Athens. In the comments, some fans were impressed and others asked Jovi for more information about his job, by writing things like, “I’m sure it is very dangerous” and “now we know why he stays gone for so long.

However, many fans ignored the purpose of Jovi’s post and brought up Yara’s recent 90 Day Fiancé controversy with his mother Gwen instead. “I unfollowed Yara after watching the episode,” says the top comment from a fan who’s unhappy about Yara kicking out Gwen and Jovi’s cousin from the house. Still, there seem to be some fans who feel bad for Yara as well, with Jovi’s family having mocked her traditional dishes, and criticized her parenting skills.
