Baby Mylah’s dad and 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi Dufren has confessed how COVID-19 had changed his job and married life with Yara upside down. The season 8 couple of Yara and Jovi who currently stars on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? always paint a happy picture on Instagram. But Jovi's traveling for work seems to be driving him apart from Yara and daughter Mylah. Not only did Jovi and Yara have to deal with being first-time parents, but also stay together as distance threw more difficulties in their relationship.

Incidentally, Jovi, 30, had met Yara, 25, while bored on a work trip, which allows him four weeks on and four weeks off the boat. Thanks to his unique mode of work as an ROV supervisor, 90 Day Fiancé celeb Jovi has traveled to 57 countries. But this came at the cost of losing Yara’s trust, and not being with her as she underwent surgery for her first miscarriage. After having started work in 2008, underwater robotics expert Jovi has not looked back, earning himself a sizable income and standing apart from his 90 Day Fiancé cast members. However, Jovi’s love for boats that he says is just in his blood after his childhood spent on shrimp boats is making him face “tough” circumstances.

In episode 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? with Mylah being just a few days old, Jovi announces he has to visit Guyana for work for two months. Jovi explained that he sends a machine the size of a car which can go up to 12,000 feet underwater, and once it's down there, he runs the controls for it. The New Orleans resident confessed that since COVID hit, things have become way more complicated with him having to go through two weeks of quarantine before Jovi goes off to work. This ends up making the work trip longer, and as revealed by Jovi in an interview with HollywoodLife, “Since Mylah was born things have actually gotten worse,” and he fears that once he gets home from work, “Mylah wouldn’t recognize” him.

The safety precautions mean 90 Day Fiancé star Jovi being gone for two months and leaving Yara at home with baby Mylah. “It’s hard because we go out and we don’t have a phone connection or anything,” confessed Jovi. While WiFi is available, it's not to be used for video calls. A person can just send a text message at the most to their family thanks to the weak connection. So this had made things especially hard for Jovi to do while having a baby in the equation. “It’s like okay, ‘I can’t see my baby except for a picture.’ Like, I want her to see my face, I want her to hear my voice, and normally that’s not really possible,” the Bayou boy Jovi admitted.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? fan favorite Yara also calls the situation “so hard” because being a new parent and needing emotional help is not possible from Jovi, who she cannot call. “I am 24 hours with the baby, alone,” revealed Yara before adding, “I love my baby so much but sometimes it’s really hard to be all the time alone.” The Ukrainian lady Yara doesn’t even have friends to talk to. However, as per Instagram, Yara appears to have warmed up to in-laws Gwen and Monty, who could be helping the 90 Day Fiancé star ease off the problems a little.
