90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Jihoon Lee has hired a shark lawyer to help him win his child custody battle of Taeyang from Deavan Clegg. The Korean has had some unlikely allies and help from caring fans who organized a GoFundMe in his honor. The goal was to help Jihoon in his custody battle in any way possible.

Jihoon recently acknowledged the GoFundMe campaign in his latest Instagram post, which was started by a fan, Amanda Crosby. Since the show has ended, Jihoon has made it known that he was not proud of how he acted and expressed that he wants to do better. Deavan Clegg and Jihoon are currently embroiled in a nasty abuse allegation and custody battle.

In Touch reported that Jihoon's new lawyer, who is based in Utah, is "well-capable" of fighting his custody battle against the mother of his son. Crosby revealed, "Yesterday we actually introduced Jihoon's lawyer to the world. His name is Joseph C. Alamilla. He is a family law attorney based in Utah where Deavan had filed all her paperwork."

The good Samaritan went on to say that "he took the case because Jihoon was about to lose all of his rights to his son this week, so Joe had filed a response. If Jihoon's lawyer didn't file appropriately, everything that she would have asked for in that paperwork would have been hers." Amanda told ScreenRant that she started the GoFundMe for two reasons. One, because fathers have rights, too. Regardless of what people's impression is of Jihoon, he has a right to be in his son's life. Second, the allegations against him are only just that. Still, he has a right to legal counsel and to come here and defend himself."  Even though the GoFund Me campaign may have been a failure since it only raised $2,703 of its $50,000 goal, Amanda revealed that the lawyer "filed to make the court aware that he is representing Jihoon. He's filed a response to Deavan's lawyers and he's not waiting for the $50,000 to come in. He's working while we're raising this money."

Most fans were moved by Jihoon's storyline and had held out hope that the two would have been able to work it out, but it seems the courts will have the final say. Luckily, now Jihoon has a fighting chance since he has found a lawyer based in the US since that is where the documents were filed. Only time will tell and fans will have to stay tuned for the final outcome.
