Is 90 Day Fiancé’s Jihoon Lee still not over Deavan Clegg? It’s Halloween time, and in spite of the scary situation he’s found himself in, Jihoon is still celebrating. While Deavan will be sporting cute costumes of her own with new man Topher Park, Jihoon revealed his spooky look via his Instagram. And seems like when it came to taking inspiration for the Halloween costume, the 90 Day Fiancé star turned to Deavan’s tattoo.
Jihoon and Deavan from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s had an unhealthy relationship from the very beginning. After getting pregnant within three months of dating, the Utah native, 23, planned to set sail to South Korea for a happy marriage with Jihoon, 31. But with his criminal past and no drive to do a job, Jihoon proved he wasn’t husband material. Deavan’s constant cribbing and their financial woes seemed to have culminated into a hurried separation. But since their split, the number of shockwaves the 90 Day Fiancé couple has thrown at fans have been scarier than most of their other cast-mates. Deavan accusing Jihoon of allegedly abusing Drascilla to him claiming the child had hurt his dog, the troubled twosome’s relationship has possibly landed them in court. But as Deavan has happily embraced her new life with accountant Topher, Drascilla, and Taeyang, Jihoon can be seen struggling with plastic surgery and altering his ways. And hence, the 90 Day Fiancé star’s Halloween costume seems not so much scary, as it is sad.
Jihoon took the 90 Day Fiancé fans by surprise when he posted his menacing look on Instagram. With a set of two pictures, Jihoon displayed his make-up skills dressed up as Edward Scissorhands. The Korean man promoted his Johnny Depp-inspired costume via a new video on his YouTube channel titled, “Happy Halloween day.” But as Jihoon ran around with scissors on camera, as if life wasn’t already dangerous enough, his followers realized that the TLC star’s costume could actually be a dedication to his estranged wife.
Professional model Deavan sports quite a few examples of body art, but the one that 90 Day Fiancé fans notice right away from her Instagram photos is the Edward Scissorhands tattoo on her left arm. The large tattoo in black ink covers Deavan’s top arm almost entirely, thus making Jihoon’s fans instantly recall it when they saw his costume. Jihoon’s comments section on the post is now filled with observations from eager followers such as, “When you can’t be with your wife so you become one of her tattoos.” Another comment reads, “Doesn’t… someone… have him tattooed… on themselves,” and then there’s the outright, “Isn’t it funny that his wife has this tattoo on her.”
A few days ago, right after the dog tossing incident, Jihoon had gained sympathy from his fans for posting pictures of the gifts he sends Taeyang in America. Deavan tried to accuse Jihoon of actually making his fans buy the toys and clothes and revealing her residential address thus putting her life in danger. To Deavan’s explosive statement, the 90 Day Fiancé star had replied with, “I pretend to be fine on the outside, but I live with heart-breaking pain every day.” Could Jihoon’s Edward Scissorhands costume indeed be a nod to the estranged wife he’s loved and lost? Or does Jihoon relate with the Johnny Depp character who was blamed for a crime he didn’t really commit?
